  • The last spice is Carom seeds, aka Ajwaiin, Ajvain, Ajvan, Ajvayan

  • It's food like this that makes Indian cuisine IMMENSELY popular in the UK...

  • there's a lot of other veggies you can add as well, and as someone said already, there's many ways to make them , you can also add cabbage (broken into pieces), zucchini, eggplant as well.

  • Please tell us what that last spice is?

  • Omg I'm sooo hungry now!

  • @Mrsarcat then eat my dick cheese

  • she seems like shes got an awesome sense of humour, which makes a pleasant change from that c@@k gordon ramsey, plus i could eat those pakora's till i burst, she'd be like " anymore ?" and id be like " yes please"........two hours later she be like " ok can you leave now, u've eaten everything" hahahahaha.......

  • Lovely recipe! And your presenting skills are brilliant! Such a lovely accent!

  • the best one ever i have seen thnx

  • good

  • looks really good, cheers

  • I think with the chilli your better off chopping them finely and pulling stems out, some people prefer them uncut because they like to eat it like that

  • Im assuming jawad is 'ajwaan' bacause the pronuciation is similar, it looked like ajwaan and its an ingredient thats always added to a typical pakoray recipe. You can find ajwaan in any asian supermarket.

  • Well presented Video. Although putting the chilli with the stem and without it chopped seemed very unusual. I'd like to know what the last ingredient was it sounded like Javed and i noticed a view other viewers asked the same question. Thanks for the Video overall as it is the best presented one and love the scottish accent

  • hahaha, so sweete ! thanks sis nice recipie.....

  • Hi, this is a really great, easy to follow guide to making pakora. I'm looking forward to more of your wonderful videos :)

  • i think this is the tedious way of making pakoraas never made them this way...bt looks gud...slice each veggie n dip it in a batter n fry it that way is much better!!!bt in similar way i have tried making onion pakoraas n they turned out to b just fine...

  • luks tasty!! but i wonder for how many pple shez making it...shez literally mixing the ingredients in a cauldron!!!!!

  • i've tried so many ways of making pakora/pakoda in the past, and i have to say that your method gave me the best results! i added cauliflower / courgettes / grated carrots / defrosted green peas / sliced green beans in my veges mix.... thanks for sharing your recipe!

  • I like the outtakes !! Cool. Have more of them put in all your videos please.

  • Nice recipe! Loved the ending lol!!

  • what was the name of the last spice that u put in?

  • lol and no eggs!

  • Wow i had my doubts but they do bind into a ball when fried 5:42

  • good video... Thankyou

  • Hmmm I never tried it this way before......

  • Great tutorial, I made some pretty nice looking pakoras following it. But WAY too much salt, I was surprised when I saw how much was used, but I figured it was just the way they are. no. I can now see through time...and I used less salt. - Maybe I just have a lower tolerance to salt though.

great video though, I will definitely try and make them again!

    Thanks for uploading.

  • the concept is great!! i like it..

  • I love how you cook: simple, clean, so full of explanations all the way, a real teacher is born! Please make some more videos of your cooking. I cannot understand the last spice you use in this particular dish. Could you please spell it or write it down somewhere? Thank you so much for sharing your cooking with us!

    Louise

  • I love these things but they give you hell of a lot of diarrhea

  • What was the last spice you listed?

  • This lady is not a gujarati but a punjabi pakistani! I should know, I was married to her for 15 years!

  • please make more videos. Pleeeeese!

  • great your a great pakora cook i follow your steps and i am on my way, thank come with more good styles of home cooking

  • WOW FANSTASTIC!.. at first I was a little intimidated because I thought I had to batter each vegetable piece by piece lololololo, but when I saw that you mix them and added the flour, water and the spices, I was so relief, Love your recipe. I made it and it came out FABOULES,

Thank you…so much for that delicious recipe.

  • Ah !!! ur Indian accent....it hurts

  • @MirMusavir I happen to think she has a nice accent.

  • @MirMusavir .YOU ONLY SAW THAT ? THAT IS SAD.

  • @MirMusavir its a scottish accent , gloasweigan with a tiny hint of indian british accent thrown in.....whats your problem idiot

  • They look beyond delicious...gonna have a go at some this evening. Thanks for the video - nice one :)

  • she's cooking with her jewellery on.

  • Thank you for the recipe. I was wondering were the potatoes raw? Thanks

  • @EBABE143 YEA .EVERYTHING SHE USED IS RAW BECAUSE SHE WILL FRY THEM .DUH .

  • HI! I think you did good ,i enjoyed your pleasant humor .Thank you for sharing the out takes also.I think this Sunday,I will cook this .

  • ccan u list us the amount of spices coz i wanna make pakoras tomorrow i got all the ingrediants except that one spice jeve? i dunno if i spelled it right but can u tell me wats this spice?? and thanx!

  • I feel that was a good demonstration for making Pakoras. Well done and thanks.

  • BIGGEST PAKORA IVE EVA SEEN

  • @inspectorballs i agree....

  • Comment removed

  • i wish she was my neighbor and i could pretend i needed to borrow a cup of sugar . . . then get invited for the pakora!! :P

soo cute, beautiful smile and voice, too! i'll try to make them, and check your other vids.THANKS!!

  • very nice and delicious, I love these pakoras, hmmmm. Thanx for sharing:))))

  • i made pakoras many times before, and i can confidently say that, the way you make them is wayy better.it looks more delicious, and i'm sure it would taste nice too. thank you so much for sharing.

  • no offense but its luks nasttyyyy!

  • Thanks for the recipe, i tryed pakoras many times. So i think i may try your version sometimes soon... :-)

  • Geez , she is mixing the ingredients with her hand, and she hasnt take her ring out.

  • @BlissfulFelony yeah, and why should that be a problem while here we have good 80% of video demonstrations on how to cook, bake, decorate cakes... with nails , tips... ect... well that is really discusting while you think of what may they have done just before that... so comparing to that, ring is nothing!

  • I was gonna complain this isnt the way u make them. I mean she doesnt chop the chillie. Most people i know mix the gram flower with water till it is a wet mustard looking paste than put the other ingrediants in. But you know what.......there are a dozen way of making pakoras, regional variances, household variances. The best pakoras I ate are made by punjabi pakistani I think this lady is a gujarati so this gujarati recipe.Bottom line is at end its recognisable pakora and looks tasty!

  • @sikhman100 Punjabis Rule when it comes to cooking. Whether its Punjabi indian or Punjabi pakistani - we know how to cook!!!!

  • @sikhman100 its a great video but when u actually sit down to make em. Your thinking why doesnt she give out approximate measurements, I mean wht if you only want to make a little and not that huge amount? how do we know how many potatoes she chopped or onions she chopped. great vid to watch and im sure it tastes great but a nightmare to make yourself as no idea of appropriate amount of spices etc to put in

  • good

  • haha you added blooper in the end. Delicious recipe by the way.

  • you are amazing! thank you for sharing!

  • mcm jemput je. jemput bawang lol

  • Love her accent...Asian and what... Scottish?

  • It was Garam masala. you can find ready made packets in indian grocery stores.hope that helps.

  • what is the name of the spice you mentioned after the cumin seeds? Could not understand it... Thanks!

  • looks like my kind of cooking :) what was the last spice you mentioned? they look delicious - can't wait to try them :)

  • i want sommeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Hi Ish, nice to see you making pakoras. Like the session.

  • in mazedaar pakoron ko dakh k mayra lund khura ho gya hay

  • thanks for uploading this video i always want to make pakoras, can u please list the herb u use and dont u need to chop the chillis before putting it in the bowl? and what was the sauce u use??

  • @note23x the sauce was tamarind chutney, you can find lots of recipes on youtube for the chutney, the spices are, corriander seeds, salt, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, garam masala, and i think the last one is ajwain (carom seeds). also grn chillies.

  • @oink714 thank you =)

  • great recipe, luv the details u showed, thanx.

  • That was fun! You're going to drive some cooks nuts with not having exact proportions but with a little experience most should be able to guesstimate closely enough. Give a recipe or some hints on dipping sauces or chutneys. Thank you!

  • Fab video. Am going to try them this weekend!

  • you don't cut the chilis?

  • haha! i love how you explain to to make pakora :) -- Thank you!!!

  • Great video. Good food and a charming cook.

  • fantastic video. you are just like a luvly aunty.

  • wow I make pakoras all the time but never like this. I am going to try this. It's hard to make so many pakoras when entertaining large number of guests. This looked easy

  • good job :)

  • wow nice, I didnt know this was the way to get the dough on everything. Im going to try it with potatoes and spinach tomorrow or day after. I see you like it reallly spices by the way, I was amazed at the amount of red chilly powder and full green chillies. By the way can anyone answer this question ? : What was the last herb she named, the one after the green chillies ? @ 0.50 jebet or something ? thnx !! nice video !

  • @Subhadrapremadd I think that she said jevain, which I assume she means ajwaine/ajwine which is a spice that you can find in indian/pakistani grocery stores, and which some people put into pakoras.

  • i can't wait to try this! my hubby and boys are going to love this!! going to go to the indian store this weekend and buy this gram flour:) love your accent and the outtakes!! and i loved watching you bite into your own food, lol, love that crunch sound!!

  • Wow !! Sweet woman as a chef.

This style is different from the tradational one where you prepare flour dough with chillies and spices in it, and then dip vegetable cutlets into it, and then take out the flour-smeared cutlets and into the oil.

This style is better I think as you do not end up with pakoras saturated in oil as much as you do with the tradational style.

I could eat those three times a day with chai in the morning, Coca Cola at lunch and of courst with beer at dinner. YUMMY

  • Ishi, some like it hot, and some sweat when the heat is on. I made the pakora like you demonstrated (only I destalked the chilies, and chopped them) LAUGH OUT LOUD, my wife nearly called the fire brigade, cos her mouth was on fire that much! Ha ha. But that meant there was more for me Hmmmmm yummy. I liked them, and your a good cook. God bless you.

  • What a great video! And what a sweet lady!

  • you have put whole chillies with the stalks still on...maybe you want to remove the stalks and chop the chillies...this will decrease chances of someone biting the stalk.

  • I maybe will try to do this some day...(but where do I find all spices...?)

  • great video, thanks for sharing!

  • please tell me how do u make tamarind chattni?

  • these pakoras look yummy. i will definitely make them.thanks

  • What kind of oil are you using? and What kind of sauce is used to complement the dish with?

  • tamarind chutney

  • hi, is the potatoes are boiled?

    thanks

  • daamnn shes great cook. I Luv indian food

  • very strange ,dont fancy it .not attractive

  • Brilliant recipe. can you tell us what the tamarind sauce recipe is?

  • I have seen lots of versions of this vegetable pakora and i will tell you this is really the best and number one pakora. You can still add other things to it, like zuchinni and coliflour and other spices to spice it up a little more , but this is a great recipe and so far the only one so far

  • nice i would add a teaspoon of lemon juice or vinegar to give it a tangy flavour otherwise they taste bland. Sweet lady!

Great Job, I like the details she put and showing the completed product till the end. Nice Work and thanks for sharing....
