  • i have seen a movie in the 60s that first played this music. all the while i thought it was "two for the road". but when i saw "two for the road" again a month ago, this music wasn't there. could anyone please tell me what movie that was? thank you.

  • @johnny062448 this is from one of the Pink Panther movies in the 70's

  • I love this song so much and I couldn´t find it anywhere -many thanks for sharing!

  • love this again... thanks.... love the lyrics....

  • they simply don't make music like this anymore......sad.

  • Love it!! Thank you for posting this song, it brings back lots of nice memories.

  • 'I'm trying to put my finger on why this song is so profoundly moving. It seems many of the listeners who like us were deeply affected by it were either children or teenagers when they first heard it."

Yep. Heard it as a teenager in the background of the movie and never forgot it.

  • how beautiful.... thanks

  • Un chef d'oeuvre de la muqique!

  • thank you thank you... its been more than 20 years that i have been looking for this... would u happen to have the instrumental song "just for her"... i think its by peter nero... please please... thank you. God Bless You...

  • We'll do a research on that ...

    Thanks for dropping by !

  • @Jokarilon just for her is really nice. hope you can post this great music of peter nero

  • I recall Johnny Mathis sang this. Very beautiful rendition.

  • The all female group "The New Seekers" provided the vocals for this song from the "Pink Panther" sequel in 1975...

  • One of my favorites.

    Thanks for uploading and sharing.

  • love it and it reminds me of my love that i cant just leave and cooly walk out of his life...im here just giving u space to do what u want to do to make u happy...love u...

  • This is a beautiful melody with very beautiful lyrics, so sweet and tender. I like it very much.

  • Gorgeous songwriting! I don't believe this was a hit, but I could be wrong. Ironically, it was background music in the 1975 film "The Return of the Pink Panther" in the scene where Inspector Clouseau (Peter Sellers) is trying to obtain information on 'the Phantom' from Lady Lytton (Catherine Schell) in a Swiss discotheque. Clouseau is in his 'swinger' disguise as Guy Gabois, and is sidesplittingly funny! An instrumental version of the tune was given greater prominence in an earlier scene.

  • Grace and peace to you in Christ, Jokarilon & friends. Just wanted to thank you again, J, for the past year of loveliness and joy since you posted this masterpiece!

  • This song extends far beyond the surface and it so reminds me of someone I was close to and still hold dearly in my heart.

  • This is one beautiful song with real meaning!

  • one of the most emotional songs in my life, high school days, thanks a lot for this, you're great man

  • I know EXACTLY what you mean, coffeecat3! I'm trying to put my finger on why this song is so profoundly moving. It seems many of the listeners who like us were deeply affected by it were either children or teenagers when they first heard it. Don't you just love Jokarilon's accompanying visual images?

  • I was just a kid and had no notion of being in love when this song came out. Now, it brings a lump to my throat at the memory of the one who left and coolly walked out of my life ... but hey, I really love this song. Thanks a lot for posting this!

  • Not many people know this song but it's beautiful. Has that 70's sound too.

  • Salamat Jokarolin. Naalala ko tuloy yung teenager pa ako, we saw Pink Panther sa QUAD Theatre...nung 70s, hehehe, wala pang Glorietta. Thanks again kabayan

  • Jokarilon, salamat sa posting pare. Brings back the memories of my teen years in the 70s.

  • One of the most felicitous marriages of words and music ever. Notice that the shifts in ideas are accompanied by unexpected harmonic changes as well. At 1:07 the suspended E flat 7th to the A 13th then quickly to the D Major 9th for the title words is heartbreaking. Yet, despite its beauty and brilliance, the song has "flown under the radar" for decades . . . except among us devotees. Thanks, Jokarilon, for posting.

  • You're much welcome !

  • Henry Mancini made beautiful use of jazz chords in many of his tunes, such as "Days of Wine and Roses." All those 9flat5 chords and the like.

  • @methu124 I totally agree with you. Been looking for this as well for a long time and am glad that there are other "devotees" as well.

  • Thank you very much!

I've been searching and searching for this song. Brings back good 'ol memories of the 70s.

  • This brings back memories of my family, I miss the way we were, Whenever I listen to this, my heart just feels like crying, thank you very very much, I wish I could have this downloaded for my collection but I just cant

  • thanks, sure I will send it you

This was my wedding theme song kaso nasira na yung cassette tape na ginamit namin sa wedding 12 yrs ago...ang hirap hanapin nito kahit sa mga cd's...and even music download sites. You made me and my husband very happy...God bless you!

  • Welcome & congrats you two made it.

    Thanks!

  • we used to sing this song when we're still in our teens. kunwari, "the new minstrels" kami. nostalgia..........!!!
