  • @1981jilly As do I! You support the releases that way, often get better quality, and you have something nice to display on your shelf. :) The only anime I download is stuff that isn't available any other way, like fansubs of shows that will likely never see the light of day on DVD. But that's the same for anything. If it's something I like and it's available, I buy it.

  • do you watch all your movies?

  • @huggablepsycho Of course. Not always right away, but yes I watch them all.

  • Comment removed

  • you are lucky that you have uhf and weird al '' yankovic is my favorite singer ever

  • nice DVDs. It is a lot. It is Illegal to download episodes online. I rather buy. I do mostly kid stuff and movies when I shop.

  • awesome

  • i have every season of power rangers on dvd all the tmnt like u and a few pokemon seasons i really enjoyed your review on tmnt thanks!!!

  • Wow, impressive collection. It must have cost a small fortune to collect all the movies you have. How can you have watched all of them?? I have so many anime and cartoon series/movies I'd like to see but I don't find the time and I see something new which makes me think "wow, I shoud check that one out too" each day!

  • I just got chip n dales and ducktales on dvd Its great to relive the memories but some extras would have been nice

  • Well i am 13 years old and used to buy hundreds of VHS's movies when I was a kid. well make my parents buy them for me. and had about 1000. Then I outgrew VHS's and switched to DVD's. I only have like 50. I have 6 blu-rays.I am just starting out and do not have alot of spare money for this purpose. Because I have an outstanding expensive game collection more then a thousand games with 32 systems. So I was looking for advice for if I should try to continue my collection for DVD's and blu-ray's

  • @Creater521 Well, it's really up to you. Sounds like your main passion is gaming, so maybe just focus mainly on that and get the odd favorite on DVD or Blu-ray.

  • Hi, grettings from Chile, i'm your big fan, i'm teacher, and i buy many dvd's and blu ray's through Amazon, all the time i see yours videos, for me you are a hero....a big hug from tne end of the word...Juan Francisco Torres

  • that is a great collection

  • Wow thats alot of DVDs :P, I really need to start getting more, I just never get around to it.

  • i have over 1000 games , and over 500 dvds and nearly 100 vhses ,

    all good movies no crap

  • @ninendowii2000 Cool. I haven't counted my games, but I've got PS1, PS2, PS3, 3DO, Colecovision and Atari 2600 games along with a lot of PC games. I used to own a Sega Genesis with Sega CD as well, but stupidly sold it many years ago. I have nearly 700 DVDs (many of which are multi-disc sets, the actual total disc count is over 1500), I have about 1000 VHS and about 30 Laserdisc. Oh, and EVERYONE has some crap in their collection. I happen to enjoy a good crappy movie from time to time.

  • do you carry any WWE / WWF Wrestling DVDS? I got a few

  • Do you have any one piece stuff? sorry i dont have time to check on your videos but i was just wondering cuz i love one piece but i cant buy anything but manga so.. haha..

  • Awesome. And If i kept every single DVD, VHS video and Laserdisc I ever bought in my life I'd have way more than that. But sometimes food and shelter is more important than DVDs, so over the years I've had to sell a lot of them during the tougher times. Enjoy having no responsibility and unlimited disposable income while it lasts, kid. The world outside that door is a lot less forgiving to collectors like us...

  • FYI, I just cataloged my entire current collection and it's 763 titles, many of which are multi-disc sets since I collect a lot of cartoons and TV show sets. The total disc count is 1537. That doesn't include my fiance or baby's collections (which we all share), only my own personal collection.

  • i am 12 and also have tons of box sets.for my age over 1000 is very good

  • Yes, that is very impressive. As I said, I would have more, but have had to sell some from time to time. But such is life.

  • you have some nice dvds though i like that invator zim box set

  • @webapp31 your 12 and have that many? cool

  • @webapp31: Woah, 1000 DVD's? And you're 12? I'm 18 and I have 6 films, 5 of which are made by Stanley Kubrick. I REALLY need to get some more films.

  • @webapp31 IT'S OVER 1000!!!!!!! DUDE, CRAP, 1 FREAKING THOUSANDS! THAT'S INCREDIBLE! NO JOKE! AWESOME! DUDE! DO A VIDEO OR I WILL SUE YOU!

  • @bheemabachus

i have to get a camrea

  • @webapp31 That's alright. Can you do like a DVDAF thing? have you heard of it? It's called DVDAF, serach it on google or put it dvdaf dot com. It's this awesome thing, it's lets you digitally organize your DVD Collection on the web. I can't really explain it, you'll see. Zaranyzerak should be able to tell you, he uses it.

  • I like sean's video's, I don't think he ever talks too much and I think he should keep doing so because HELLO he has a LOT of subs...there are reasons for this!

  • uh frickin?

  • look do not take it like that i DO like your collection. im just saying you do talk greatly about your coolection

  • Okay, what part of me being the host of a series called "The Multimedia Chronicles" did you miss?? What else AM I going to talk about on a show where I primarily review/discuss home video?? That's what my show is ABOUT. I review what I have, plain and simple. If I had more, I would review more. If I had less, I would review less. It is what it is.

  • Yeah right we all show our collections so I guess we're all the best DVD collecters ever makes a lot sense!

  • It is a hobby, he likes to film things, he decided to film what he is most interested in, movies.

  • Yeah, I guess if we (gasp! shudder!) have PRIDE in our collections, that automatically means we're bragging and think we have the biggest collections ever..

  • So it would seem *rolls eyes angerly*

  • he has a lot of dvds, but he acts like he has the biggest dvd collection ever

  • No, I don't. I don't brag or boast about anything. I'm just showing what I have, plain and simple. If you're seeing/hearing anything else, that's your interpretation. And you're wrong.

  • @Zaranyzerak Yes you do. You walk around stickam like your shit don't stink. Well I got news for ya buddy....it smells like shit!

  • Oh sure, I brag when there's REASON to, or as a gag, but not in my videos. I know I don't have the biggest collection ever, and have never made any claims that I do. I don't get how some people interpret it that way.

  • Personally I ENJOY his videos, Sean's a cool guy who knows his shit. He's not some uninformed jackass who has diarrhea of the mouth like SOME people on here.

  • Jesus Christ! you have some of the coolest things ever!!!!!!

  • Oh my god...you have Animaniacs...and Secret of NIMH...dying of jealousy LOL nice collection man, always fun view these

  • nice collection

  • i know u7 have batman the animated series vol. 1 and 2 but u should get the complete animated series and do an in depth review i have it great set

  • sweet.

  • Yay! Secret of NIMH!! The only drawback to the NIMH DVD release is the freaking box art. They always seem to dumb it down when it comes to Don Bluth box art. The original art was beautiful. Why not use that?

  • Have to agree with ya there! I definitely would have preferred the beautiful original poster art or something similar. I was just happy that they finally released the widescreen version.

  • I actually have been meaning to do a review on the new release of the first NIMH film. Maybe one of the awful sequel too. If you are interested in helping me with that, let me know.

  • Your Thundercats dvd sets are sweet.Love the covers. I just bought the red box complete collection, not as nice overall but still good. Great collection =)

  • How many dvds do you think you have all together?

  • I've actually counted, though I need to update the count. It's around 600 individual titles. A lto of those are TV show sets, though, so I have no idea what the actual individual disc count would be...somewhere around 1000-2000, I would think.

  • I'm sorry, but I don't see why you spread the Classics with Kids Stuff. Jurassic Park? Not to be angry, but personally I think Jurassic Park and your few Godzilla movies belong in Sci-Fi/Horror.

  • That's my very small giant monsters/dinosaurs section. As for the classics, it's a small section. As was the kid stuff section at the time. None of them warranted having a shelf all to themselves at the time, as it would have been a waste of space.

  • Okay, I gotchya.

But if I don't sound really annoying (lol) I would (emphisis on I) prefer if you put Jurassic Park and Godzilla at the end of the shelf.

  • Look at it this way - at least I'm not organizing them ALPHABETICALLY (shudder). I think that's just such an unimaginative way to organize a collection... It's about GENRES, people! Oh well, each to their own... Just wait, once I finally get off my ass and start collecting Godzilla properly, the Big G will likely have a shelf all his own. :)

  • Cool. C U

  • I see that you've got some Garfield and Friends DVDs. Do they still sell those?

  • I see them online quite a bit (and usually fairly cheap), but the only ones I've seen in stores the past couple of years are the "Best Of" collections. The complete series was released as 5 Volumes, each volume containing 24 episodes spread over 3 discs. The Primetime specials are also all available, as 4 single disc volumes.

  • you can get the garfield ones at best buy for cheap

  • How come you don't have "A Fistful of Dollars" or "For a Few Dollars More" which also have Clint Eastwood? You should also collect The Godfather Part 1 and 2

  • hi one day i have seen the movie (DRIVE 2) but i never find this movie anywhere some body help me to find this name of movie i don't know the compelet name can u help me to find this movie

  • YOUR THE MAN

  • UN TAN UN TAN UN TAN MOE MOE KYUN

  • Whoah... that X-Files boxset is immense!

I noticed the Count Duckula dvd there...no Dangermouse??

  • Lol! It's actually hilarious you mention that on exactly TODAY...check out my latest vid... *hint hint* ;)

  • Which one is the latest?

  • This one (I usually put the latest vid on my profile page) -

    watch?v=SSaie_z3QMc

  • haha. Nice DM boxset, i had no idea they made that many seasons. I may have to invest in that.

  • GODZILLA ROCKS!!!!!!!! Try buying vol 1 and vol 2 of the first Ultraman.

  • cool. Do you collect WWE DVDs? That is what I collect now. Whereya get shelves like that? I need a new one!

  • hey sean, did you know that the complete roughnecks series came out. i think its about 30 or less.

  • oh very nice, visionaries and inhumanoids, still looking for those ...

  • I couldn't find any Rocky or Robocop movies after watching your videos.

    Not a fan?

  • Oh, DEFINITELY a fan of Robocop - it was actually the first R-rated movie I saw in the theater (at the age of 15) :) I haven't been in a huge rush to buy them on DVD, since I still have the Criterion Laserdisc of the first one, and wasn't a huge fan of the sequels. If they put a nice sequel set out on Blu-ray, I'll probably grab that.

Loved the Rocky movies, just haven't got around to getting 'em yet. I might do a "boxing movie" binge at some point. Get those, Raging Bull, etc.

  • Ahh, good stuff. Can't disagree that the Robocop DVD releases are rather lackluster, and the sequels just aren't very good.

Cheers to your expanding collection! :D

  • Zaranyzerak, I think you should get the entire Twilight Zone Definite Edition Collection.

  • I agree! The First Season set is fantastic, truly the most deluxe edition ever put out for the old series.

  • Are you a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas.

  • nice collection i have a bunch of anime dvds too. i just watched this trailer for this new movie tokyo! have you heard of it? its pretty cool.

  • lol lazer dics lol nice collection

  • What's so funny about Laserdiscs?

  • great vid man!

  • cool update!...

  • why does everybody hate the '98 Godzilla??

    I thought it was great!

  • Same here. I guess we will never know why. I bet they don't like the modernized looking Gojira.

  • well personaly i thought America Zilla looked alot better any mainly becuase he was made during the early early CGI years.

Like compare the Cloverfield monster to Zilla Cover looked really CGI but 98 Zilla looked a little more realistic.

  • I have a bigger collection but I don't have them all in box because I ran out of space. Anyways, nice collection man.

  • I've been looking for that Ace Ventura set both films and the cartoon damn good deal for the fan

  • the good the bad and the ugly...quite simply the greatest movie ever.

  • I have Jurassic park 4 disc edition. My big brother loved Thundercats is was one of his favourite tv shows when he was a kid. u don't have any disney films, why? they are so rear and they are great kids films.

  • My fiance is the main Disney collector in the house, so I generally leave those up to her. I like the older Disney stuff, but not a big fan of their more recent stuff (except for Pixar, of course, which is awesome)

  • did i see all the family guy season's there?

  • You sure did! :D I show them in the previous part of My DVD Collection videos - "Directors, Comedies, Adult Cartoons"

  • ooohhh u got blade runner - i love that film

  • Yep, it's one of my all-time favorites!

  • Hi Zaranyzerak. I notice you brought the British Inhumanoids and Visionaries releases. Don't worry I'm British, but I'm assuming you have a multi-regional player like I have. I have to say you have a superb collection of DVD's. Nice. ^_^

  • Correct! I got tired of waiting for a Region 1 release, especially since those are two of my absolute favorite 80's cartoons, so I just bought the Region 2 versions. Our multi-region player actually just DIED recently! =( Need to get another one of those, it was awesome.

  • I could PM you an address of a website which has codes to make exsisting DVd players multi regional if you want? That';s what I did. It's a pity Rhino never got round to releaseing a third DVD with the last 4 Inhumanoids episodes on them. Well fortunatily Hasbro has apprentily broughts the rights to all their cartoons, now they just need a competant distributor.

  • Definitely a pity about the Inhumanoids R1 release. Fortunately, I still had my original TV recordings of the show from back when it aired, so I could at least see those episodes when I wanted.

Rhino really dropped the ball when they had the Sunbow rights - messing up the audio in Transformers (and re-editing some episodes!), leaving G.I. Joe, Jem and Inhumanoids unfinished... And they didn't even TOUCH Visionaries! Couldn't believe that. Hopefully Hasbro does it RIGHT!

  • They should do, it's 'their' shows after all, albiet made by one of America's largest comic book and entertainment companies, a New York ad agency turned production company and a few Asian animation studios, LOL! Speaking of Transformers, if you haven't got it, I heavily recommend the British 2 disk ultimate edition of TF: The Movie (animated). It includes the Scramble City OVA among other things. ^_^

  • Cool collection. Do a vid on your anime collection. Most of my collection consists of Gundam, Robotech, Macross, Dragonball, Evangelion, Tenchi Muyo, Rurouni Kenshin, Fist of the North Star, and Cowboy Bebop. I knew about these titles before they became big here in the states.

  • please can you review the incredible hulk boxset by hand and opening it

  • nice collection

  • Dear Sir / Madam

I bought a DVD set of Thundercats series one volume one. When I played the set, there was one very bad disc. The episode "Dimension Doom" on disc 6 does not play all the way through due to some kind of fault. I would like to ask if I could mail the disc the manufacturers and ask them to replace the disc. Would that be possible? Do you know which manuacturers produce the DVD sets? Please let me know. Thank you very much.

    Kind Regards,

    Mr D P Hill

  • Do you still have the original receipt? If so, your best bet would probably be to just return it to wherever you bought it and exchange the set for another copy.

Or, you could try the Warner Brothers website (I can't post the link in comments), since they were the company that released it. I know they were offering free replacements for Disc 1 of the Season 1 Volume 1 set, because the 2nd episode was missing the incidental music.

But I think the first option would be the most likely to help.

  • Dear Zaranyzerak,

I am stuck without the original reciept. So what could you please suggest trying if I tried going on the Warner Brothers website in terms of obtaining a bad disc replacement?

  • Simply find the number for their customer service department (it should be on the website somewhere, just check the sitemap if you get lost), give them a call, and see what they say.

  • I live in Britain, so shall I look at the British Warner Brothers website or the worldwide?

  • Ooooh, I didn't realize you were talking about the British release... Yes, I would guess that the British Warner Brothers site would be your best bet. If not, I would try taking it back to the store anyway (even though you don't have the receipt) and see if they'll do a straight exchange.

  • Dear Zaranyzerak

I've sorted out the faulty disc. Now I'm interested to know if you have the He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe original animated series on DVD. Please let me know. Thanks.

  • Fight Club... A Children's movie?

  • Like I said in the video, there's some random stuff in that section as well. I've since re-organized it.

  • Your videos are really good. keep doing them

  • I LIKE IT....I'M ONLY 12 BUT I LIKE IT

  • I'm used to have a huge dvd collection as well. But due to a small amount of storage and space, I parted with more than half of my collection. This may sound like a weird question, but where did you buy your shelves? I have been looking all over Canada for ones like yours.

  • You're so lucky to have those lenticular editions of the Thundercats dvd's.

In england they're so basic and small :(

  • Bummer...but hey, on the flip side of that - I know a lot of 80's cartoon fans were jealous of the U.K. for a looong time, since you folks got a lot of the old greats quite a while before we did! :) I'll be doing an in-depth about the Thundercats sets at some point.

  • i love animaniacs!.ur cool!

  • Why yes, I am pretty darn cool! ;) Animaniacs rocked, it was just so INSANE! Our little one is starting to enjoy it too.

  • Loving the collection so far, keep the videos coming asap.

  • Thanks! Plenty more to come, we're not even halfway yet! :)

  • I am insanely jealous, you bastard. The thing about DVD is that even though Blu Ray and the like are going to eventually become the new standard, so long as 1080p is the highest resolution then people will still be buying DVDs because they are cheaper, will be even cheaper then, and can display at up to 1080i upconverted. Kinda makes me wonder how long the DVD standard will really last...

  • Standard DVD is 480i or 480p. Even upconverted, it doesn't look anywhere NEAR as good as a true 1080p image. Upconverting is simply to make the switch to HD less painful for those who have large DVD libraries already - make the existing stuff look a bit better, until you upgrade.

BluRay will be a forced conversion eventually, just like how DVD ultimately replaced VHS. Then, sure DVDs will be crazy cheap but you won't find any new releases on 'em anymore! It's only a matter of time...

  • That said, it WILL take longer for BluRay to take over from DVD because it basically means people have to upgrade their ENTIRE home theater to take advantage of it (new TV, new player, etc.), but with forced upgrading on the horizon, it may not take as long as most people would like to think...

The good news is, players and 1080p TV's are both rapidly coming down in price. So the switch should be much less painful once it becomes less an option, and more a necessity.

  • You forgot the part about 1080p being a waste at smaller screen sizes. For example, some gimmicky laptop manufacturers are selling 1080p laptops. Wow. 1080p on a 17" widescreen LCD. Are the pixels the size of a pinhead? For the consumer, having more options, ala PC games and their multiple resolutions, is the way of the future.

  • Well, yeah, I thought we'd already established that a while back. Since this was about upconversion, it seemed a likely assumption that we were talking about TV that would actually show a difference.

But yeah, on a smaller TV/monitor there's not much point in going higher than 720p. And on REALLY small ones, no point going beyond 480, if even that high. (ie: those dinky little DVD players you can bring on planes and such)

  • Ah good. Another consumer inoculated against OEMs and their gimmicky "1080p laptops." =)

  • Hehehe...yes, I've had my shots. And doing my part to help my viewers do the same. :D
