  • Thanks for the video. Say, I plan to buy a mini lathe. Do you have any ideas about which one to buy?

What kind of lathe are you using in the video?

    Thanks again.

  • @onasugol I am not to sure what lathe I could recommend. My buddy in the US has a Jet Mini, and he says it ir great, but he traded up for a Nova 1624-44. Personally I would recommend that one also, but it's not really a "mini". It's a full sized lathe, but the bed is 24" but you can buy an extension if you wish. I have a Jet 1642 EVS, and I love it. I used to use an old tube lathe from Canadian Tire. Definaly better turning now on my new lathe.

  • Nice video. I just bought my first lathe today and can't wait to pick it up. I have never used a lathe but am looking forward to learning. I appreciate videos like yours where I can see how its done. Thanks.

  • @mondovila Glad I could help you spark your interest. It is a really fun hobby, once you get into it. If you want to see more of my work, you can go to my webpage, just google "index of mbgilly" and I'm the 1st one, once in click on "woodturning website", and you're there. :)

  • Lovely elegant bowl, well done.

Could I ask you what tool you used in video 2 and 3 to rough the outside please? It looked like a scraper but hard to tell for sure.

    Thanks, Brendan

  • Very nice!

  • loved it from start to finish, thanks
