  • why is there an upside down like button on this video??

  • PEDRO! These guys are the shit. we used them a ton this past summer in helmand

  • PJ's, Rangers, Seals, Rescue Swimmers are definetly my favorite Spec-Ops/Challenge programs

  • IF YOU DISLIKE THIS VIDEO YOU WILL BE CURSED BY THE PURE AWESOMENESS OF THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The picture at 1:40 I really like. The shadow image is on my favorite shirt

  • at 3:05 Tactical chicken wings

  • Hey I know this is a silly question but is the Pararescue chant Hooyah or H.U.A

  • What happens if you fail training? What do you get to do then?

  • @petrk27 you can apply for something else, or you can re-apply, but it's simple don't fail prepare, prepare, prepare

  • @petrk27 they ask you what you want for a back up in case you don't make it

  • 3 more months till i can sign.

  • 5 1/2 more years, hopefully I'll make it

  • 3:05 is sweet

  • Wow, everyone is an expert on here. lol!

  • @JsonAre HooYah!

  • Cant wait til i enlist in 10 days

  • only one thing to say AIR FORCE RULES

  • 6 more years..

  • @dogdylan11 6 years to prepare yourself. PAST quals just changed and are more strict. 6 years may be a long time and you could change your mind but if its what you truly want stay focused and push yourself.

  • @dogdylan11 so... 6 more years.. which means you're about 12?? enjoy your childhood man.. there will be time to train.. just join sports.. like lacrosse, swimming, water polo or wrestling.

  • @dogdylan11 yeah I've been looking into these guys since 2006 and the PAST has changed a lot.

  • What song is this? its from Eminem but whats the name?

  • dude this is the sickest video ive seen yet..im going to basic next year and hope to become a pj

  • Truely awsome pictures. Thanks! Hope you all make it back safely.

  • this is for the helmet conversation.well most of the time they have to carry light so they have many tygpes of equipment thats why u see many differences

  • what vests are they using?

  • im curios as to the camo there wearing, are the yanks and us britts wearing the same cammo pattern now or is it slightly different ? :S

  • @MrLegionaire13 It's called Multicam. I know some U.S. Special Ops are using it along with some UK Special Ops. And now I believe the U.S. Army is switching to it. It is a great camo with a wide range of use.

  • @swank227 Its UK Standard issue for operations now.

  • @OChristie Thnaks for the info man

  • @swank227 Brits use MTP, multi terrain pattern, a varient of multicam

  • @MrLegionaire13 They are slightly different, both patterns were developed by Crye Precision. The US pattern is called Multicam and is only issued to soldiers in afghanistan (hence it's other name: OEF camouflage pattern). British soldiers are issued the multi terrain pattern (a mixture of Multicam and DPM). But I think british special forces are using both patterns.

  • @MrLegionaire13 Its only issued for Afghanistan Use only. Army has to wear it and Air Force wears it if they go on missions.

  • @dbJ1R The multicam pattern for Air Force aircrew is only issued to HH-60 and C-130 crews. It can be worn in any theater, Kuwait, Africa, Afghanistan, etc.The ground pounder multicam uniform is mostly worn by the PJs and Red Horse personnel, again in any theater or AOR.

  • @THEderekjacob Well thats what we were issued for Kandahar (Im Air Force EOD)

  • @THEderekjacob Some Security Forces units, and all CCT's and SOWT's also get multicam

  • @MrLegionaire13 If I remember correctly you Brits are switching to MTP which is the DPM pattern in Multicam colors while your SF units have been using the original Multicam pattern for while now; which what the US Army, and other units are using/switching to.

  • @TheTavorMan21 yeah prettymuch all of our troops have it then reserves get it and cadets are getting it in 2014, personally i hate it but ill be FFL by then lol :) (and our spec ops used what ever country they were in i belive or whatever they needed lol)

  • this video is so sick

  • I dont there's a better song to describe life as pararescue

  • im currently in AirForce JROTC in high school and im thinking of going into ROTC at college and then enlist in the USAF to become a PJ. Im dedicated to make it because i am willing to risk my life for others and i want to be known as the best so i end my life proud.

  • @HornlessUnicorn1

do not go to college if you want to be a pj

pj's that are officers have an entirely different job

they plan the rescue missions pj's go on, though they go through the same training they are rarely used on missions

I would suggest enlisting directly out of high school (dont forget to spend senior year training)

later on become an officer after obtaining a degree while enlisted

that is my plan as I am a senior in high school

  • my friend and i cannot decide if wer want to enlist as aerail gunners, or pararescue. the main problems are i dont know if i need alot of medical knowledge, or if i could just be a cover man. also there is not much info on aerial gunne4rs. if anyone can help, it would be highly appreciated

  • @tragicFR0ST8YT3 thats my exact same problem i have!

  • @tragicFR0ST8YT3 good luck getting an aerial gunner slot............i had it on my "dream sheet" but they only take about 2% of the applicants. the problem is is that they have so few slots to fill and no one wants to get out of the career field. if you want to deploy, if you want action do pj,eod, cct, tacp or sowt. if you want to see combat got sec forces and volunteer for one of their special units like ravens(pussies) or airborne security forces. they are strictly volunteer so its up to you.

  • United states pararescure... Yup... the enamys fucked...

  • @xEliteKillerVx Not if you cant spell

  • and ppl say the marines are tougher than the airforce...

  • USAF PARARESCUE IS THE BEST OF THE BEST....I LOVE YOU ALL GUYS! MAY GOD ALWAYS BLESS YOU FOR SAVING ALL THOSE LIVES.....SANDRA♥

  • no ones going to read this but im working to get in the af academy and want to work up for pj because i dont wanna kill anyone but i mean i would if i needed to but i value others more than me, so i want to help anyone i can and rescue people and or ive always wanted to be a SEAL because i want to be the best of the best and if i can be that i know ill do good because ill do what needs to be done and give more than what i have but if you wanna hate go ahead because thats want i want so idc. USA

  • @thebigbossofyou123

Just to give you an FYI...if you'de like to be a PJ than going to the academy probably isnt your best bet. Most PJ's are enlisted guys, and coming out of the academy you'll be a 2nd lt. Technically you could apply for a Combat Rescue Officer, but this guys are the best of the best so be prepared. You need to figure out what's more important to you. If you want PJ slot...o talk to a recruiter and start getting in the best shape of your life...and you might have a chance.

  • @hurd88 ik man ive talked to army and air force recruiter and they said the things i want i have to go in as enlisted but i really wanna be an officier tho so im just going to see whats best ill probly go in and work up to NCO

USA!

  • Man, I've seen some footage of these guys, and they're are HARDCORE, I knew they were tough, but I now know how good they really are.

  • When ever me and my Spec Ops team would get in to a firefight I would always play this song in my head and I would always get head shots HOOYAH!!!!!

  • @jfman22345 your full of shit

  • @remusbrooks Okay I didn't always get head shots but hey everybody tweeks shit around about their lives on the internet.

  • Somehing I'm curious about. I see quite a few different types of "operator" helmets in this video. I'd like to know why some of the PJs have different helmets from each other, even in the same picture. I'd also like to know the functional differences between these operator helmets (which look sorta like snowboarding helmets) and the "infantry" helmets that you see AF Security Forces, Marines, and Army infantry wearing.

  • @TorturedXeno I guess it comes down more to preference. PJ's and other special operators usually have a bit more leniency with their equipment so they technically could buy their own if wanted while conventional forces in most cases are limited to what is issued.

  • @swank227 its called high speed low drag a kevlar wont stop even a 45 acp round so operators like these guys or the SEALs or SOF-D dont wear them they are more worried about moving quick and not bumping there head than catching a round

  • @swank227 I figure its because the special forces want to be more light weight and mobile, also they don't care about less protection because they don't plan on getting hit.

  • @simplyskilled Disagree personally, but I understand why you may think so. Training is better but in combat anything can happen. Wrong place wrong time kind of thing. Either way complete respect to our Special Forces and those our U.S. allies. Hope to soon join Pararescue myself. P.S. Fuck the ignorant fucks on both sides thinking our countries are better than the other. United We Stand

  • @TorturedXeno, Most Special forces prefer light weight gear for mobility reasons, imagine operating on a patient while in mid flight and not being able to move your head. Pararescue, as well as any other special forces unit, requires use of peripheral vision these helmets are designed to maximise peripheral vision use and mobility, Different units have different helmets for different situations.

  • @TorturedXeno well idk y they wear different from each other but ik why they wear those helmets. its because its lighter than the ones the other branches wear and its more well protective.

  • @TorturedXeno

The types of helmet is in most of the time the choice of pj himself, but also depends on what the situation is, like when they have to insert by parachute they will choose light weigt helmets with the option of wearing wide goggels in stead of a regular helmet wich isn't build to be weared when jumping out planes at high velocity and special 'pj' made helmets also used by seals, are build to be used with a special type of comm. system

  • Tougher than nails? Hell they are tougher than the hammer

  • this is the most badass pj video i have ever seen!!!!!!!!!! HOOYAH

  • The pic with the PJ badge and heli in the background... That was me. Awesome. HOO-YAH!!!

  • DAMN I'm glad I decided to join the Air Force after college...and I'm going for Pararescue

  • dude cant wait to train for pj just gotta get outa highschool its gonna be hard but cant ever give up

  • 3:06 is that burger town? The went for Ramirez!

  • this is what i want to do when i join

  • @southernwood42 yes you save lives bro it's what pj's do "that others may live " and thats why there called Parar rescue

  • 0 dislikes... the way it should be..

  • If i was shot i'd rather have a PJ work on me than a EMT

  • I don't want to be some glorified 17 year old straight out of basic, I want to be someone who saves lives every time I head out, I want to be the first thing you see after you wake up from blacking out, I don't want to be famous, I don't want to be on the 6 o' clock news for doing something I love. I don't want to be pinned a hero, I just want fewer Military burials, and fewer men returning in a wooden box and a flag, and larger crowds WALKING off that C130. "That others may live." HOOYAH!!!

  • Comment removed

  • to anyone who's willing to listen, would becoming a ranger be a good precursor to pararescue? and also where did you find the picture at 8 seconds? thanks

  • @TheScotsIrish I think it'd do you well, but it wouldn't be TOO far from PJ training, I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd assume that that'd only train you for everything beyond INDOC, however it'd make INDOC less difficult. I think it'd be a difficult trail to to roll down on, good luck bro. I'm just training for the next year straight, and putting all I have into this.

  • God bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when you type in Special Forces Diver,(Surviving The cut). is that what or somthing like Pararescue combat diver school is like or is th pj diver school differnt??

  • I hope to go to basic next year and then PJ training I hope I pass!

  • @blaze2020 If you want it, if you REALLY want it, more than the air in your lungs, and the beat of your heart. You'll make it happen. Remember everyday why you're there. "These things we do. That others may live." You're the guy making sure more men and women come home, and hug their spouse and kids, and not in a wooden box, and a flag. You will be that guy. The one that was there. The one they counted on. You have to give everything you've got then find more deep down to give. You can!

  • @blaze2020 I'm heading to Basic after graduation from HS. I'm heading out June 1st. Good luck to you sir.

  • @CardShark1015 Thanks good luck to you too buddy I still have to go to MEPS soon idk when though then i will be in DEP then I go to BMT haha long process

  • @blaze2020 I'm going to MEPS on Tuesday, then phys'ing on Wednesday. My top 3 are 1. PJ 2. CCT and 3. TACP. DEP for a year then BMT June 1st 2012.

  • 3:06 Sorry Sir But PopEyes is shizznizz..

  • where did you find the picture of the pj symbol and the helicopter? Its awesome and I want to get it as my background.

  • @fmxowen125 ww(dot)militaryphotos(dot)net/forums/showthread.php?1365-Some-new-Pararescue-photos/page16 There you go. Lot of good pictures on there as well. Many of which I used.

  • I hate how people are ungrateful of our military!

  • sweet......

  • haha 3:05 "we got a man down, to much fried chicken"

  • @usafmetalhead hahaha

  • perfect song for the pjs

  • Kudos, PJ's. You guys rock.

  • RES5EPT! And Keep it Real boyz!

  • Just to clear up any confusion due to some comments, I am not a PJ nor claim to be. Just what I want to do once I feel ready. To those of you that are, my respect and thanks

  • @swank227 Thats cool kid>... Roll on....

  • epic pump up songs

  • 102 likes, 0 dislikes, only PJs

  • Cont... And some damn good ones. Don't talk if you don't know the facts!!!

  • @austucker - Pedro 66 went down June 9th in Afghanistan. We lost 4 Airmen that day, and 23 days later, the pilot was taken off life support. One gunner made it home, 6 months later and is still in a wheel chair and the co-pilot, is sti suffering trauma and will never be the same. On board were PJ's and so

  • how often do you guys get shot at like compared to infantry and why is it that everyone in pj looks older also how hard is it to get into this

  • to those asking about the PJ death stats... we havent lost one to real combat sense nam...

  • @austucker Senior Airman Jason Cunningham was killed in March 2002, in the battle of Takur Ghar

  • @swank227 His instructor at INDOC was my instructor when I was there.

  • @swank227 This is a WAPS questions for those who are testing.

  • @swank227 God bless our Airman and his family.

  • @swank227 Ahh roberts ridge... RIP Cuningham

  • @swank227 Jason Cunningham was mortally wounded and fough to stay alive for 8hrs but died as soon as the hvac came the battel was known as roberts ridge

  • @theusafbrat45 Yea, I know the details. Just didn't want to go in depth. And yea its known as Roberts Ridge more, but its on the mountain Takur Ghar so its also known as that. Either way, no worries.

  • @swank227 yeah just wanted to clear up any misdemeanors and yeah i know all about roberts ridge and what went down at Takur Ghar

  • @swank227 yeah i just wanted to clear any misdemeanors if anyone was confused on the subject or got the jason cunningham storie wrong im not trying to be a dick like what i mean if the sounds like im being one im not so yeah sorry for this huge explanation

  • @swank227 there hasnt been a lot but there have been PJ deaths in afghanistan

  • @swank227 theres more than the media lets you know about. SRA Benjamin White and Tsgt Michael Flores both Pj's died on 9 June 2010 while serving in afghanistan, google it if you want. PJ's are not about getting the spotlight which makes them even more badass......there was also 3 AF CCT on the helicopter crash a couple weeks ago but all the headlines say a bird full of SEALS crashed.

  • @Benelli1989 Yea Iv'e heard about some of those and the operators with the SEALs but thanks for putting that out there.

  • @swank227 i actually found out i was wrong about the helo crash with the navy seals.....it was actually 2 Pj's and 1 CCT on there.

  • @austucker you're an idiot.. pedro 66 just last year...

  • @austucker my cousin died june 9, 2010. he was a pj.

  • @austucker 3 more were killed in a helicopter crash earlier this century.

  • @austucker PJs SrA Ben White SSgt Michael Flores and CRO LT Joel Gentz were killed in action on June 9, 2010.

  • @austucker FOOL!!!!! Nice video though...

  • why there are so many diffirent jumpers and rescuer specialforses it confuses

  • many thanks from british sqaddie afghan 2002

  • Wow Im lucky to workout out with a PJ a couple days per week, he comes to the crossfit I go to. Hes really quiet and not cocky at all during workouts.

I feel i need to thank him.

  • @Cyc1on3 Quiet professionals.

  • Pararescue,

    Because even SEALS,Green berets,and marines,

    need to cal 911.

  • nice vid..

  • I'm looking into this as a potential career if i can get selected and get through the training lol however when i asked my AFJROTC instructor about it he looked at me like I'm crazy and said "Do you know the average life expectancy?" so im wondering now. What IS the life expectancy? i couldn't find anything about it. I doubt it'll change my decision, im just curious thanks

  • @Lensk15 I cant give you any statistics but in my opinion no worse then any other combat unit. Combat is dangerous and its a dangerous profession no doubt. I wouldn't let it stop you if it really interests you. Either way good luck with your decision. Hope to be out there myself once my knee heals and can start training for it again.

  • @swank227

Are you kidding? More PJs die in training then in combat/the field. The reason being : That Training.

  • @drothefuture I get what your trying to say. I wasnt sayin they are poorly trained. Just pointing out to him that regardless there are no guarantees in combat. It's dangerous no matter what you are.

  • @Lensk15 CH-53E is downed by enemy fire, 6 men onboard, 2 KIA, 2 WIA. Incoming fire in a 360 degree radius by 50-80 insurgents, no QRF in area. Objective: establish perimeter, secure wounded personnel provide security for incoming QRF. There's only 5 PJ's and a shitload of lead flying your way. Calculate the life expectancy.

  • @Lensk15 If you going to worry about life expectancy you are not cut for PJ. You may want a desk job. Good Luck

  • @Lensk15 If you going to worry about life expectancy you will not cut it for PJ or CCT. You may want a desk job. Good Luck

  • @socshooter did i say i was worried?

  • @Lensk15 who cares what the life expectancy is? if your a PJ than you should be damn well willing to give your life for another comrade in a heart beat.....good luck with your decision and if you become a PJ...thank you for your service

  • @Lensk15 Your AFJROTC instructor doesn't know what he's talking about.

  • @Lensk15 the only pararescue man to ever die died because of a training accident with his parachute.the life expectancy is very low they would never send you out if you weren't good enough that's why only 4 out of ten go through to be pjs

  • @zoosyourdaddy66 lol i thought it was like 4 out of 100 xD

  • @zoosyourdaddy66 Very low? only 1 pj has died in this 10 year war

  • @Lensk15 Jrotc is a fucking joke I was in it for one yr and my Ms was dumbass who did nothing but desk work when he was in the force and he acted like he was a war hero. So dumb and so many nerds lol

  • @Lensk15 why does it matter? you can die in combat or on a base somewhere. You can die crossing the street and get hit by a bus.

  • @StrengthFromAbove83 well yeah, but getting thrown into a firefight substantially lowers yours chances of living

  • @Lensk15 if your worried about the average life expectancy of being a PJ and dont want to die on the job if needed...its not for you.

  • @LGTXSHARK this man is very right read the the moto" It is my duty as a Pararescueman to save life and to aid the injured. I will be prepared at all times to perform my assigned duties quickly and efficiently, placing these duties before personal desires and comforts. These things I do, that others may live."

  • Look July 19 I will be on a plane to Texas for Lackland AFB for basic training. After that i am going to PJ Selection to be a PJ. Their job description entails going behind enemy lines to do (CSAR) Combat Search and Rescue they are part of the Special Operations Task Force just like Rangers SEALS and Delta

  • @096327 Congratz Man Good Luck! Hey Please Keep in touch with me about becoming a pararescuemen i've really been interested in the AF.

  • Comment removed

  • @amdsoccer94 I'm sure when your ass is all shot to hell you will say that.

  • @flyhayst if i was shot to hell i would yell medic not pararescue

  • @amdsoccer94 Ha, kinda a different job entirely, but all good. As far as medics, I agree. Pararescue go when theres nobody else, not at the first shot fired. :)

  • @amdsoccer94 shut up tool!

  • @amdsoccer94 shut up tool! you cant to what we do pussy!

  • @amdsoccer94 shut up tool! you cant to what we do pussy! rangers arent supermen!

  • @grunt12394 and pararescue is? bull.
