Cold temps produce more CO2. Consider all the CO2 produced from having to heat homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, and factories to the recommended 68. Consider also all the CO2 produced by having to clear vast numbers of parking lots, runways, city streets, rural roads, highways, & interstates every time it snows & tons of salt &sand when we get ice. How much could we cut back on CO2 emissions if it were warmer?

I personally believe that the main reason comes from outside earths atmosphere. If you research all the planets are going through the same rise and its possible a massive heat wave in the universe is on its way to our Galaxy or the universe temperature is rising itself or something more greater is on its way! Who is the biggest funder for new non-oil-dominated technology/innovation? Gas/oil companies.
