NICE. i will be building a small above ground log cabin. i live near a flood plain, and the cabin must be 5 FT above ground. any tips on building the supports collumns? i cannot use any powertools due to their wieght and my long hike. i am thinking of using pre existing trees and making a log cabin treehouse type thing
What is this - a food store? And, what would you use it for ... i.e. why are you building it in this location? Looks to me like you're into the rugged life.. think along the lines of A Walk Into The Wild (?) - book about a young guy who took off into the Alaskan wilderness but unfortunately didn't come out again as he was totally unprepared.

you could build it around a live tree and use it as the main column
