@jerometegreat555 sorry man, i dont have the theme anymore I do remember that other one was an official one. So you might be able to find it still on the web out there. Its a different theme from the one i used tho. The one that i used, the link is still active
This theme is now way out of date and does not work with the 5.50 firmwares, however the wallpaper and icons do. Im not sure about the gameboot, but wardrobe will not work.
you MUST have a CFW PSP (which means non official firmware, modded, hacked, etc...)
Im not sure how this would work with the psp3000, if you've modded it, it might work. but im not entirely sure. I have the old psp1000. Judging from Sony's attempt to stop the modding, the PSP3000 may not work with this. I do not have a way to confirm if it does or does not, so if you try it, do so at your own risk.
"I went through the soundtrack and narrowed it down to two songs. It is either 'Theme of crisis core: successor' or 'Theme of Crisis Core: With Pride'
the clip in the eboot is an excerpt from one of the two."
unfortunately no, I had to update my PSP and I now have 5.00 m33 and none of the theme except for the main XMB theme works. Sounds and gameboot do not work.
dude...i buy all my ff games...i take pride in helping square get money toward their goal of a ff remake...what if all was downloaded? no more games..........no more ff. Buy the game.
Ahh nice.. im using cfw 4.01 m33-2 so i don't think i would be able to use any of this all though i did find a cold boot like yours but still, cannot use due to a newer cfw.
i want to know ninjasamuri's question. that was an original (not crisis) file save on your psp! i have the original for normal playstations, but for psp? how?
Please refer to the video in response to this and flip through the comments. I did say to do that before asking a question. It would be answered there. I listed all of the steps in the comments
WOW super cool!!! Major fanboy of the FF series here and I love what you've done with all the customising. Have you heard anybody successfully getting this to work on the new custom firmwire 4.01 M33-2? Thanks in advance
Ah someone else had this same problem. Are you SURE you put ALL of the folders in their correct places? There is one folder that goes into the root or psp folder. I forgot which. Make sure you read the directions for the "full" version. :P
If it doesn't work after that, i will post a tutorial because this isnt the first time this has happened. However, look at my tutorial already posted and look through the comments. I listed pretty much all of the steps.
Yea that README file is one hell of a set of instructions to read through. I have to admit, even though I was an AP Chem student, i could barely make sense of it myself.
I just downloaded the file again and i will try my best to make a tutorial as soon as i can. It may take a day or two to get it up though.
Did you change the font in wardrobe? If you did (or didn't), dont stress. Go to the option to restore the original font that it saved with its initial backup.
yeah i've tried that but it didn't work ? i went to the recovery and chose the font recovery but it didn't work =="
Also you know when you go to "theme settings" on the psp and you choose colour, background etc. The colour boxes and the words are kinda out of that vertical box on the right side when it's supposed to be inside, if you get me. So i really don't know what to do =(
i installed wardrobe and i changed my psp's clicksounds, font, volume bar, charge bar and the music visualization. When i went to play yugioh tag force 2 i realised the words have moved up more and outta the box when they're supposed to be inside. So i recovered everything and the words were still the same. and you know how you go to "restore default settings" on your psp? i did that and when it says "press x to change settings" (or something) the "x" doesn't show instead it shows a white box?
I think something in wardrobe's code went awry and changed something in one of the Flash memories. Im not sure how to fix it, but font was one thing i learned not to mess with when using wardrobe. It never got it right. I dont understand how it would affect games though. Is it possible to find all the flash archives on the internet and reformat that way? Also try seeing if theres a way to restore your psp. Sorry, i've never had something like this happen and im not sure how to fix it.
I played it when I had 3.52 m33-2 firmware. but it was playable after I updated as well (as you can see here). I had played the Japanese version so i dont know if the american version would have any limitations on firmware. The psp here is 3.90 m33-2.
Thanks alot for linking the gameboot! Took me a while to find the original file for backing up (didnt have the viewing settings for system files ticked) but after that it works perfectly, time to show it off now! ^_^
i cant download the gameboot and the WARDROBE (i supose, this is the soundboot, with this, my psps sound like Final Fantasy VII when you move the cuursor in the menu)
thanks, and i still have the problem -.-, maybe i can donwload the files in a cyber cofee; and i do a writting error, i want to say: "i supose, in the wardrobe is the boot i search for my psp, your psps sound like Final Fantasy VII when you move in the menu screen" (and sorry for my poor english -.-.. i am a mexican..)
I think I understand, In wardrobe, there is a menu to change the sounds in the psp main menu (the XMB as it is referred to). Find Final Fantasy VII sounds and press start and it will put those sounds on your PSP. If Wardrobe does not appear on your psp or is "corrupted" make sure you have a psp with custom firmware.
already donload the wardrobe, but, when i run it in my psp, it say: "error: argument error: image:clear([color]) zero or one argument, press start to restart" -.-
this was 3.80m33-5, but, thanks a friend, now is 3.90m33-2, and i finally can put the Final Fantasy VII bootsound and click sound n.n; thanks a lot, and sorry for all the problems i give you -.-U
Look for a web forum for a site that has gameboot request threads. Link a youtube video and they will be happy enough to assist you. Also, i believe in the comments section of my tutorial i posted a link to a forum explaining how to make your own.
thanks ma! but where do u put this? and how? i have the japanese PSP so for sum reason even if i hold R trigger and turn the power button on, it wont go to the boot mode so i dont know how. every one (english PSP) does it like tat so
The japanese version came out first and some of us had ordered it or recieved it in some way (family, friends, etc.). I, on my own behalf (i understand that other people have their own opinions, so i have mine, no offense...just saving myself some trouble because some people dont seem to realize it) prefer the japanese version to the english version. I have a greater sense of emotion with the japanese version that the english version does not provide for me.
No i do not, i requested it on a site. However, i no longer have the link to the site. but honestly, i think it sounds better and makes more sense in japanese. "Irashaimase" and "Come and get it" sound completely different...the japanese one sounds a lot more aggressive.
the sounds can be flashed using "wardrobe for psp" which is available for download in the information section of this video. Follow the instructions and you should be good!
thanks for that man hear can you tell me how got the zack gameboot what websit was if you can. can you but the web page link no the next comment thanks man :):):)
as long as you have a Custom firmware PSP, you can use wardrobe. I uploaded it in the information section. Just follow the instructions and you should have it! however, if you do run into trouble the video response to this is my tutorial. The comments actually give more info than the video does so search though the comments for all of the directions that i listed for another user.
i found another gameboot with zack but he says the entire thing about protectiong honor an stuff i did the gameboot moddig of making it 10 scondslonger now ive neglected to backup the original file that just makes it 3 secs long where can i find the original file?
Hmm, if the original file is on the psp currently as a gameboot, you should be able to find it in your Flash 0 (press select or home to pull up the xmb menu and select for usb and connect to your computer). Then go to the vsh folder and in resources you should find a pmf file named "GAMEBOOT"
First question is: do you have a custom firmware psp? even though it may sound stupid for me to ask this if you already do, it saves a lot of time. So, if you do, then go into your flash 0 by pressing select or home (depending on your CFW version) and select Flash 0. Connect to your computer and then go into the vsh folder and in resources you will find a file called "GAMEBOOT.pmf" make a copy of it to your desktop and then replace it with the zack gameboot.
hey man sorry for all the questions but you got the answers lol ok well i have CFW 3.90 m33-3 and need to know if you know any where i can find boot sounds for thats CFW and if you know anywhere i can find some comment me back ASAP please
ah its no problem! I dont mind answering any questions people have as long as they havent been asked already.
hmmm, i havent had much experience with m33-3 i have m33-2 and dont plan to update due to fears of further compatibility issues (long story short, my saved game on FFVII when i was on the third disc wont work.) if you are looking for boot sounds other than the ones wardrobe has, i do not know where to get them. I will look into it though. However, wardrobe has many.
wardrobe makes a backup of your original theme (the default) This is so you can use the recovery option and restore the psp's original theme. So no worries there!
Bricking on the other hand, i have not experienced it...however it may happen with careless modding. In order to unbrick you must have a pandora's battery as well as the proper memory stick that accompanies it. This will unbrick and restore any (im not sure about slim compatibility) PSP. I do not know how to make one though.
I have that theme, and no, its a OFW theme :P

Unfortunately wardrobe is only for 3.90 m33 firmware. I wouldn't try it unless you have a way to restore.
You could use the theme and not the sounds. It would be the same, just without the FFVII sounds
BTW, i have the same computer as L during the first two deathnote movies and the entire Manga. Powerbook G4 17" FTW haha

Also you need to select the theme in your psp's theme options

say, why does all the world have the Japanese version of CC.. i have an english one and i saw in a forum alike 100 topics about an english one..
iMGamer 3 years ago
The japanese version came out first and some of us had ordered it or recieved it in some way (family, friends, etc.). I, on my own behalf (i understand that other people have their own opinions, so i have mine, no offense...just saving myself some trouble because some people dont seem to realize it) prefer the japanese version to the english version. I have a greater sense of emotion with the japanese version that the english version does not provide for me.

yea i originally had a little bit of trouble, but after a few times reading the readme and doing some google searching, i figured it out.
FlamingArcher 3 years ago
DO you know anywhere i can get that gameboot but in english?
jonnyplaysbass2 3 years ago
No i do not, i requested it on a site. However, i no longer have the link to the site. but honestly, i think it sounds better and makes more sense in japanese. "Irashaimase" and "Come and get it" sound completely different...the japanese one sounds a lot more aggressive.

as long as you have a Custom firmware PSP, you can use wardrobe. I uploaded it in the information section. Just follow the instructions and you should have it! however, if you do run into trouble the video response to this is my tutorial. The comments actually give more info than the video does so search though the comments for all of the directions that i listed for another user.
enjoy ^^

i found another gameboot with zack but he says the entire thing about protectiong honor an stuff i did the gameboot moddig of making it 10 scondslonger now ive neglected to backup the original file that just makes it 3 secs long where can i find the original file?
Demonmod12 3 years ago
Hmm, if the original file is on the psp currently as a gameboot, you should be able to find it in your Flash 0 (press select or home to pull up the xmb menu and select for usb and connect to your computer). Then go to the vsh folder and in resources you should find a pmf file named "GAMEBOOT"
FlamingArcher 3 years ago
i have the pmf but I dont know how to work it!!!
Pls tell me, or send me ur memory stick data with flasher and all, pls
zhafranTP 3 years ago
First question is: do you have a custom firmware psp? even though it may sound stupid for me to ask this if you already do, it saves a lot of time. So, if you do, then go into your flash 0 by pressing select or home (depending on your CFW version) and select Flash 0. Connect to your computer and then go into the vsh folder and in resources you will find a file called "GAMEBOOT.pmf" make a copy of it to your desktop and then replace it with the zack gameboot.
enjoy ^^

FlamingArcher 3 years ago
yeah i know wardrobe has many but they wont work on my psp will they? or is there some way we can get them to work on 3.90 m33-3??
StreetKingz09 3 years ago
i think they should be able to. The flash 0 format should be the same. I think the revisions are for compatibility issues.
FlamingArcher 3 years ago
hey man sorry for all the questions but you got the answers lol ok well i have CFW 3.90 m33-3 and need to know if you know any where i can find boot sounds for thats CFW and if you know anywhere i can find some comment me back ASAP please
aight pce
StreetKingz09 3 years ago
ah its no problem!
FlamingArcher 3 years ago
alright thanks man you are good help i might be asking a few more questions later on some time if i dont get what to do but thanks for now
StreetKingz09 3 years ago
hey couple more questions.
1. If i wanted to change the theme back to normal or anything do i just changed the file back to its normal file?
2.If my psp does get bricked what are some ways of unbricking it?
StreetKingz09 3 years ago
wardrobe makes a backup of your original theme (the default) This is so you can use the recovery option and restore the psp's original theme. So no worries there!
Bricking on the other hand, i have not experienced it...however it may happen with careless modding. In order to unbrick you must have a pandora's battery as well as the proper memory stick that accompanies it. This will unbrick and restore any (im not sure about slim compatibility) PSP. I do not know how to make one though.

hey cool vid man and i heard it is pretty hard to put gameboots on the psp or there is easy things you can do to make mistakes is this true?
