Amazing video, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan is marvelous. Also, I would like to say, is stop comparing great musicians, they all bring different things to the table. Amjad Ali Khan plays the gayaki ang, while Ustad Ali Akbar Khan a great musician in his own right, plays the beenkar's style. These musicians are Ustad's, a title that they have earned because of their body of work.

I don't think it is so much of a preference in style between Ali Akbar Khansahib or Amjad Ali Khan as it is a preference in genre. Ali Akbar Khan is a purest and master of raga. The kind of thing shown here is not traditional classical. And anyone who thinks Amjad sounds better than Ali Akbar Khansahib is not listening.

Yes Ustad Vilayat Khan was a genius,but what about Nikhil Banerjee or anoter great seetar players?All of them had unique playing stile and most of them r past away but we are still remember them.

By the way, please don;t compare Ustad Vilayat Khan to any other Ustad. He was a genius of music of which we won't see for another 500 years.

It's a preference of style between Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. Ustad Amjad Ali Khan is a legend that invented tan in Sarod as opposed to Ustad Ali Akbar Khan not using tan. I prefer taan, there is more feeling.

I see Vilayat Khan influence here. I like sound of his sarod better than Ali Akbar, but as a musician ali akbar scores. He is really good communicator.
