  • I think that you are really enlightened when you can unlock the door without using drugs. Moreover, I have known a lot of drug users and I don't see them as being enlightened or any smarter than anyone else. For example, look at the hippies who used drugs. Were they really enlightened? They were so naive as to believe in the concept of peace, while ignoring that humans have always been at war throughout history. What is enlightening about not being grounded in reality?

  • reiki is an oft overlooked path too. it's for more than just relaxation.

  • Hmm... That's kind of odd... How did you come to start using entheogens and start going down this route? How did you come to the beliefs that you have now?

  • I personally was not a "religious" person until I started taking entheogens which showed me that there is so much more in this spirituality stuff than I used to think.

  • The mind is only a machine. The function of this machine is perception and awareness. When a psychedelic is introduced into the analogue machine it starts to do it's function at a separate level which some would call the cosmic state. These states might give the illusion of death although the machine is still aware. In reality, the awareness machine is operating differently

Once the awareness machine is gone, it is gone. It is no longer aware. Just like any other machine would do if it broke.

  • so ive heard bill hicks say that are true nature is spirit and not body but if this is true then where do our spirits go back to?

the void maybe? or the god head?

and what exactly is the god head thanks!

  • Enlightenment is the natural state of man. Simple awareness, unbound and not conditioned.

  • Hippie chicks are where it's at!

  • C'mon, we could all do with a regular top-up, hehe

  • can u wear a niqab please i can't concentrate my mind on what u r saying.

the crush is still strong babe, sorry !

  • I look forward to watching those videos. :)

  • Dude, she's really cute, in a nerdy kinda way, lmfao.

  • Nooo, why destroy my false reliance on psychedelics for enlightenment!?!?

  • *faulty

  • Brilliant, insightful, and empowering. Thanks, again!

  • The majority of drugs actually impede the path of enlightenment.

  • Meditation is so comforting, it takes away depressing and anxiety, it makes you feel warm and happy and comfortable in your own skin, I sugggest everyone to try it. It can change your life

  • Wow this is exactly what i feel too, it's just one key, a key i prefer over all the others, but still just 1 key ;)

Everyone has their own way of finding out the Truth, we just chose this one.

    Love <3

  • Has anyone experimented with brainwave entrainment as a means of attaining higher states of consciousness?

  • Yes, but it's only partially effective and largely depends on an individuals physiological and mental state.

The best technology -besides entheogens- that I know of for altering ur state of consciousness is rTMS or deep transcranial magnetic stimulation. This technology can delete ur negative psychological patterns like they were computer files. It can also be used to illicit many different states of consciousness, which is why it got the nick name "god helmet".

  • Wow neurosoup, what incredible timing! I had my first remarkably spiritual experience with psilocybin only 2 weeks ago and had been struggling to decide how to proceed with entheogen use. Fantastic response I think I would have to agree.

  • Is this young girl using drugs? I hope she is not, it's kind of sad to see how young people can get lost so fast... What did she smoke?? Why does she need to "alter" her consciousness?

  • Did you hear anything she just said? She is saying that entheogens (drugs as you put it) can be beneficial for spiritual growth.

  • Altered states of consciousness can open the mind to the ephemeral nature of reality, but they ultimately have nothing to do with enlightenment. Enlightenment is emphatically *not* an altered state.

  • absolutely right, IMO.

  • I'm glad you agree. Every "state" partakes of the same ultimate reality, so enlightenment cannot be a specific state of consciousness.

  • Maybe enlightenment is the realization that objective reality is seperate from our perception of it? :-)

  • I'd possibly agree with that but I'd need to know what you mean by "objective reality".

  • being enlightened is when you know the meaning of life. jesus, buddha, all these iconic religous figures, were enlightened beings that were trying to teach humanity to love one another. but because of cultural differences, religion was created. sadly more people have died in the name of god than for any other reason.

  • yes i agree.. but the bible and the holy books where not written by them, and the religion that we know today is mostly a obstacle on your path to enlightenment.

  • Indeed. Humans have essentially two impulses, the spiritual and the religious. Sadly, history is a tale of the corruption of the former by the latter.

  • Actually, to correct that, Atheists hold the record for killing people. Hitler? Stalin? Mao? Alexander the Great? Napoleon? Genghis Khan? Drug dealers? Serial Killers? Maniacs? The list goes on and on non-religious people who kill, and NOT in the name of God. That is completely wrong to thing that religion holds the record for killing the most people.

  • killing in the name of god is just as bad as killing for no reason

  • Enlightenment is the natural state of man, unconditioned and simply aware.

  • Actually, the natural (statistically speaking) state of man is delusional dualism. Enlightenment is really a quite unnatural state for humans. But I agree that enlightenment is unconditioned awareness.

  • irregardless is not a word that is commonly accepted in the english language...arent you in college?

  • rofl! i love it when people try to sound smart by using big words, then slip up and let everybody know their dumb by saying something like irregardless.

  • Ironically you may have used 'their' in the wrong context. 'They're' ?

  • yea u relaize alot when u trip when u read about experiences and actually do the drgs. that is the natural elgal(should be) drugs

  • there is no key

    there is only enlightenment

  • I can see my energy body when I smoke really good weed.

    =3

  • I do agree that other methods are ok too, but honestly entheogens are the most effective. It takes decades of meditation for example to get to the same place you can get much more instantly with entheogens....in this way entheogens are like a shortcut. Some people don't like this fact, but it still remains a fact. ;)

Other effective methods....besides meditation....well there are mind machines and cranial electro stimulation devices. Isolation tanks seem like the best non-entheogen way though.

  • 1:06 and you must practice that.

  • I have learned a lot from my trips about myself. They have given me a better outlook on humanity aswhell. I used to be a very hateful person.

  • i'd totally fuck you in the ass

  • like totally dude

  • bein a hippy is fkin brilliant!

  • Exactly, substances are great enhancers. But, are not required to achieve transcendental states. They can however be very helpful in breaking down the ego. As a shortcut.

  • lol i made the comment about half way through the clip but in the other half what I commented about was spoken about.

  • if we are capable of this as a human. Are the entheogens a shortcut to where we could otherwise take our mind but in alot longer time?

  • re/ me0wzilla

Not a shortcut, but a technology that can facilitate your spiritual evolution when used in the proper way.

  • I think the modern, consumer society we live in works to SUPRESS your natural ability to "trip."

So these substances do have a place in today's world.

  • 1st muhuhuahahahahaha i dare you to give me a thumbs down. you wont do it. no balls

  • Can you because so much drugs are stored in your body fat and once you burn that fat the chemicals from the drugs are put back in your body and you have a "dejavu" moment?

  • Alan Watts used to say "Once you get the message, but down the phone."

  • Stupid typo!

Should read "put down the phone"

  • funny, i overread that it said but.

  • lol, thought one had to be a contortionist there for a second.......

    :o)

  • You mean, you thought it said "butt down the phone?"

  • there are many different types of yoga...its not all about contortionism, for example Kundalini yoga is working with the energy of the body. if youve never experienced energy flow within the body then a good place to experience that is at a place called "bikrams yoga" where your doing yoga in a room heated at 105*... there you have a good chance of experienceing intense energy flow also known as "prana" , "Chi". Qi, etc. these excercises help to awakin dormant bodily function...

  • 1st

  • u wer 1st n all u got was 8 thumbsdowns lol

  • lol, everyone wants to be first

    haha haters

    Kind regards - #1

    :o)
