@403766 well dude, I've got rank in brazilian jiu jitsu, judo, and karate. I've also done some mixed martial arts and have run into this clinch myself from the other end. It really can suck when a guy knows what he's doing. You should keep in mind that they were just demonstrating the technique. If you don't learn what I am about to tell you, you will never succeed in any martial art. Simply put. For every technique you apply there is a counter for that technique and another counter.

you can avoid them being able to hit back above the body if you lock your forearms and elbows into their chest and close the gap between ur chest and their head.. personally i thought that was very very basic in a muay thai clinch :/ also doing that makes it ALOT harder for them to escape

@rooster26730 5 months mma ;) plus 3 years karate, 2 years bjj and a little bit of muay thai (prob 2 months lol).. but yeah i train next to and occasionally with professional fighters.. few even lucky enough to make it into the ufc.. i know a very weak clinch when i see one.. surely you agree this isnt a good clinch..

In real street fight - guy to the left, instead of kneeing him - kick the balls, if not a knockout, then you got his head right before you with no defense coz he'll be too busy holding his balls <3

lol can sumone plz find me a link for how to do a clinch cuz in the gym i do the basic combo perfect apart from the end wid the clinch and knees. This is not helping i tried this and my instructor made me do ALOT of extra abbs exercises so plz dont screw me again with these cheap vidz.

Just by backing straight out he would have got out. Wouldnt have even had to dip his head into the knees

In clinch,the moment he(victim)'s trying to fight his way out wheather by leaving his hands out for left or right body hook even upper cut as in this video. This will leave him become more open to that fast and multiple knee attack from inside. The one who's doing the clinch will drag ur head downward to give that distance from body attack. More over, the victim will have to worry about the elbow attack from the top as well.

notice the guy on the left could just elbow strike the guy on the right in the back of the neck and end the fight right there...but i guess they don't allow that in most MMA fights
