  • How envious I am that, at this very moment, Dr Hsu is sharing the company of Bach and Luther and countless other godly musicians...What heavenly music they must be making in the presence of their Creator!

  • met him a few times with the PBU community choir (Handel's Messiah). what a loss, to God be the Glory!

  • Wow I really love Dr. Hsu and while I celebrate his graduation I will miss this great man of God.

  • Ben Roundtree, Instrumental Director at the McLean Bible Church in Northern Virginia said it best. If Dr. Hsu's friends and family scheduled a memorial service on a Sunday, more than half of the churches in the Eastern United States would be missing their musical directors at their Sunday services in order to attend. God bless Dr. Hsu and God bless Ben Roundtree for saying something so elegant.

  • God bless this man. (from a piano major at JMU)

Praying for his family. I'm sure he is rejoicing with his Creator as we speak!

  • Beautiful playing! I'm so sad to hear about Dr Hsu's death. I will miss seeing him. May he hear the Lord's welcome: 'Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of your master.'

  • Dr. Hsu: a man of integrity, substance, and a vehicle of God's grace. To all who knew him, he will always embody the message of salvation. To those that were fortunate to study with him, he will always be remembered as holding up the highest standards yet lovingly helping his students achieve their highest standards. Heaven has better music today. "To God, be the Glory." (Say hi to Grampa Furness...)

  • Only met him once, but I feel that we lost an inspiring soul. He is home with our Father, God bless his family.

  • May his legacy live on through those he impacted and through PBU. Such an inspiring man of God.

  • Dr. Samuel Hsu, Philadelphia Biblical University’s Distinguished Professor of Music and Chair of Keyboard studies, died this afternoon from injuries sustained when he was hit by a car in Center City Philadelphia on Thursday morning. While it is a sad day for our University and the PBU Community, we rejoice that Dr. Hsu is with the Lord.

  • Wonderful piece, wonderful person, please be in Prayer for Dr. Hsu and his family, as he was in a very serious car accident yesterday and is in ICU.

  • An amazing soul who will be missed dearly.

  • A beautiful composition and performance by one of the most godly and inspirational men I have ever known.

This piece sums up how he lived his life: out of deep love for, and wholly devoted to, God.

Thank you for everything, Dr. Hsu.

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delights in His way." Psalm 37:23

  • This piece is forever tied to fond memories of one of the most humble and incredibly talented men of God I will ever meet.

  • How beautiful--love the minor section!

  • Love Dr. Hsu ^-^
