@Emiester1130 The "Select" button is generally used to regen Little Mac's energy once per fight between rounds (Press "Select" so Doc hits Mac's arm faster, so it means the trick worked. However, if you use it before some tougher fights, Mac's energy will go down by half instead... ;)

It's not that it reduces your stamina on tougher fights, it's if you use it without being hurt at all. I think it's a flaw in the game logic. "Decrease injury by half" overflows into taking half your stamina when it's already at 100.

@Draknfyre Listen. It will NEVER decrease health by half between the rounds even if Mac did not get hit once and was still flawless. Stamina will decrease by half only before specific fights, which are mainly tougher ones such as title fights, and some other specific fights as the game progresses. This rule never lies. If it works once against an opponent before the fight, it will work every other time a player uses the "Select" trick... ;)

Actually, you can just beat him with normal punches and jabs, then in 1:00 - punch him in the gut when he comes down.

You can use it only once per fight. You use it before the fight or between rounds. Push "Select" to get some energy back between rounds, and risk to lose 1/2 health if you attempt to do it before the wrong fights. ;)

you just gotta tap up before you punch him in the gut. It's all about timing. tap up to get him to guard his face and let go of up and punch his stomach. If you time it right, he'll still be blocking his face.

Yeah, the body blow when he charges in is a guaranteed KO. If you try to hit him in the face, I believe he blocks it, then throws his series of jabs.

Sure! In order to hit him in the stomach, you must faint by pressing the "Up" direction for him to be caught off-guard (for body shots) and being vulnerable to one shot to the body. If you wanna practice it first, I suggest you use the first fight against Piston Honda! ;)

the start button lets you use a power hit, but you have to have earned them by doing special timed hits against the opponent.

next: This is the second time you face Piston Honda and in this match, if you hit him while he's doing his special attack he goes down and NEVER gets up.

He may go down when you hit him. sometimes, you'll hit him and he'll stay up. I recommend hitting him in the stomach when he does his special attack. ;)

when the first screen comes up (mac and doc vs whoever) if you hit the select button , doc will pump up mac

if this is done at the beginning of a match, there is a chance that either your or the opponent's energy will go to half. if this is done in the middle of the match (end of rounds), then your damage will drop by a random amount.

Sometimes, when we use the trick to get more life between rounds before the beginning of the fight, we can lose half of our energy, depending of the opponent. We just have to press the "Select" button once while we see fighter's stats.

Yes, sometimes, depending on the guys we fight, time can freeze or slow down a little bit when they do a special attack or when we hit them with a series of rapid punches...

We can KO him early if we send him to the canvas with a body punch when he does his special attack at about 1:00 in the fight. Sending him once to the canvas before it is just a bonus. I wanted to show it was possible. Yes, I was using an emulator, but consider it like a console, because I don't cheat nor use tools as some say. I just practice and send some good work. ;)
