  • Supreme dulicmer performance! it sings with such harmonic resonance. I got a dulcimer make by Pikow (Jean Richie's husband) back in 1967, a 3 string traditional. Your playing is like the flow of water it is so rich with harmonic timbre.

  • Now you can go and listen to the original. I like your version. Your dulcimer has a really nice rich sound which is a bit unusual.

  • Very nice playing, got me feeling serene, hahaha.

    Great 'variation', as you said.

    Really beutiful.

  • Finally another lefty dulcimer player! me too Nice job.

  • Hi. I just listened to you while searching for Richard Farina. Freaking fine job! Nice touch, and Brother isn't as easy as it sounds. And the ending was great...

  • Thank you for your kind words. It seems so long since I inspired anyone about anything that it is good to read your comment.

The dulcimer in this video is a 1982 McSpadden... 26 yrs old now. McSpaddens are (in my opinion) the Martin guitar of dulcimers. They are excellent instruments in every way.

Of course there are other types which are good, but I'm a great fan of McSpaddens. (see the Dulcimer Shoppe, Mountain View, Arkansas)
