I was such a huge fan of Elastica. Probably the least gigging known band ever. From when they were first heard of until the end, they only did about 3 shows in London. Shepherds Bush in 1995 (I was there), another one for a charity (if I remember right) in Kentish Town or somewhere? Then much later (post-Donna) at the Astoria. So only 2 shows during their heyday. I also saw them in Brighton, and I met Justine and Donna afterwards. Got their autographs and chatted. Both very nice. Great band.

2. Where are they now? Justine still owns the house in Notting Hill she's had for years, but lives in USA, studies at college. Donna gave up drink, smokes, everything else, and now studies music in Devon (but still owns her house in Kings Cross). Shes now a devout Christian. Annie moved back to Brighton. Justin moved to Devon (somewhere differnt to Donna). I still have my vinyl, numbered, 'Elastica' album (with booklet). Never been played (souvenir). Listened to CD instead. Memories, memories...

My mate Cally her addict brother said Donna went back to Wales and blew all her money on Heroin- Nasty rumours I'm sure- hope she is turning it around... Anyway fantastic band good on Steve Lamac for signing them. We still have our Elastica vinyl too. Todays NME doesn't seem as exciting as back then. They were always the poster band in Select * VOX magazines :)

Hi Louise. When were these gigs then? They became famous with 'Line Up' in late 1993 and I saw them on TV. After that I was constantly looking out for gigs. I read 'Time Out' (London's listings magazine) every week. I saw they were playing at an indie festival in Stanmer Park in Brighton and I went and saw them, and met them too (May 1994). Justine and Donna told me they weren't gigging much as they 'were busy working on an album'. I saw them in London in 1995. When were these other gigs?
