What really amazes me is that their album called The Last Broadcast is among the 1001 albums you must hear before you die. I had not even heard about Doves or any of their songs until I read this. But the band just proves why they are mentioned in that book! That album rocks!

@9876tjtj I wouldn't say underrated .. they have quite a large fanbase and their albums have always been well-received by critics .. but I see your point .. they deserve to be as big as any other brilliant band such as Coldplay or U2 ..
@Snyltetast I'm glad they're not as big as coldplay or U2. Sometimes when bands become too popular, they start to commercialize their sound, to pander to the new audience, who doesn't really understand the music. It happened with phonics and gorrilaz (first albums for both bands were best). I'm a big doves fan, but have lost them a bit with the last album. Again, I consider their first album to be their best (second was brilliant aswell). Becoming too popular could kill the inspiration.
