  • This video is amazing. I volunteered as an usher during Oliver and it was wonderful.

  • When did you see the show? Who was your favorite?

  • I guess, I do. I guess that since kids get sick a lot, especially in Fall/Winter, that they felt they couldn't take the chance on having just one backup. We were at the matinee on closing day, so I saw Sam Preston's cast of kids. Both he and the kid who played the AD were excellent! As I said, all of you were great. However, I thought Ms. Diviti was outstanding, one of the best Nancys I ever saw. It goes without saying that Mr. Panaro was outstanding as well.

  • Well, nice chatting with you, and I wish you all the best of luck if you decide to follow through in theater as a career! Thanks again.

  • Sam Preston WOULD have filled in. But if he was sick, say Gavin Becker would then do the show. Do you now get it?

  • @litwriter100 There were 2 understudies for the Oliver and Doger. They were in the kids cast.

  • @TheCaseyGirl22 Thank you, but I saw that in the *Playbill* which is what prompted my question. I had guessed that one of the reasons for having two entire kids casts was to eliminate the need for juvenile understudies, especially as it wasnt that long of a projected run. Im asking why they felt they needed understudies for Oliver and the AD when they already had two of each. Thanks again.

  • They had understudies because if one Oliver can't make the show. I was in Oliver! My name is Casey T. Curcio. You can see me in the playbill. Do you now understand?

  • Thank you, again. But what I mean is, for example, if Seth Green had been sick one night why couldnt Sam Preston have filled in for him or the other way around? They already had two Olivers and Dodgers. By the way, please see my first comment below. My family and I had a wonderful time at a wonderful performance! Not one member of the cast was anything but superb! Thank you all very much!

  • A quick curiosity question for Rob (or anyone from the production, please.) Why did they bother having understudies for the two lead juvenile roles when you had two casts? Why couldn't the one fill in for the other if need be? They just weren't taking any chances? Thanks again.

  • I just wanted to thank the cast, orchestra and all the behind the scenes personnel for the treat of a splendid performance of this classic musical! When I heard that the kids were mostly area kids with little acting experience, I thought "Oh, great. I'm paying $70 to hear *Oliver!* with a Philadelphia accent." I was pleasantly surprised. The play was flawless. Bravo!

  • It was a very sad night when it ended. We love and miss you Rob!

  • I hate to say good bye to the play. Thank you so much for doing this so I can remember this play forever. You are the best!!! :)

  • that was very funny good job!! Rob

i will miss all you ladies and gents. From Oliver Uvay
