what is the job of a kapp or capo, what is it for why do you you use it??

It basically changes the lowest notes of each string.... cuz without the capo, without pressing to any fret, your strings are on standard, open tuning of E, A, D, G, B and e...

With a capo you basically move the end of the neck up so that your guitar notes are higher.

Helpful when you need specific fingerings such as Ronan Keating/Alison Krauss's When you say nothing at all - the intro riff needs a G shape .. to make it higher you need a capo.
