@hipont you can't fly, there aren't any mounts, well every hero has a mount, you can't change it nor upgrade it so it's not unique, there are archers, about weapons: you'll barely use them, in battle you'll mostly use skills which you learn.

@Ecalyptus90 yes, but from what I heard that Heroes 6 is going to happen several hundred years before the 5, however the events in the 6'th heroes would happen after heroes 4, so it's Imposible for Nicolai to be Catherine's son, of course unless Nicolai can live a for a few hundred years but that's barely possible.

so they sold ubisoft the the rights to heroes of might and magic and later the Heroes of might and magic 5 made by ''Ubisoft'' came out with completely new story.

For me, Heroes V is the most balanced of all: no infinite resurrection (the stack's health is reduced by a percentage for every cast) and no legion upon legion of skeletons (now necromancy requires dark energy). Not to mention the spell caster creatures whose spell power scales with their numbers, unlike Heroes III where 1000 creatures cast spells with the same efficiency as 1 which is down right stupid.
@paddotk As in, there is no such thing as if's or maybe's. If the AI can kill you, it WILL kill you. If it can exploit a weakness, it WILL take advantage of that weakness. They aren't, not from what Ubisoft said. It would be interesting if in Heroes 6 they'd make a connection between Axeoth(?), the planet where Heroes 4 takes place, and this planet, forgot its name.
They can't do that since they are alternate realities, not different planets. Sandro from the third game was the master of Markal as he mentions it in this one. Solymr and Crag Hack are also mentioned yet they were last confirmed to be on the Heroes4 planet. If they'd try to connect the two worlds, it would result in a huge mess, what with there being two copies of several key figures.
Yes it was a good game in it's own time but now it just has bad graphics and too little number of diffirent towns and monsters so yes it was a good game but right now its Homm 3,5,2,4,1 for me but i get your point :D
I have heroes 3,4 and 5 and their expansion. I think heroes 3 is the best, nostalgic value etc. Heroes 5 is damn good, one of the best strategy games i've played. Heroes 4 was ok.

There are a lot of reasons why this game deserves bashing..
One that is mostly important would be, this game failed to deliver what the title suggested, a fifth game to the HoMM series..
I have played a lot of HoMM 3 and I don't have anything against something new, I like WoW better then WC 3, but this HoMM 5 is shit.
It doesn't deliver anything but what you already knew from previous games, it just simply fails to be HoMM 5!!
I was bored with this game and this is how I feel about it..

@crazy4sian Ok I see, guess you're right yeah. Although this is mostly with the enemy heroes, i think that wild creatures are (sometimes) not just as good and unforgiving as heroes.

to much for children, i hoped heroes 5 would be cinematic more powerfull but you get bored after 2 days of playing it, I though the last expansion with blood and rage i would see some blood what a dissepointment...

i am sorry for myself to because heroes 3 is still my best smoke game with friends it was much funner and faster to create a world to play against a so fucking hard pc that i overpowered that it was fun when you played stoned with a friend to eventually die :), i created it in that way that you cant kill epic pc because there main town was save only portal was to main land not go back to castle, faster ambush with events that accure at certain times or places, etc better overvieuw aswell

@UnknownFromHeaven I agree that heroes of might and magic 4 is beautiful, you are the first user that doesn't think that the fourth one is bad.
People say that 4'th is bad but I think that it's cool as it is a game with good graphics and story.
I think that people hate it because all of the great lands in homm that we players came across while completing those games were destroyed. I didn't agree with this decision but the story needs to go on, no matter what happened, just get over it.

@gothicfan51 i assure you. there are others who think as i do, but those are few, because the majority is lacking in understanding IV, as it is its more complex and beautiful,you have a lot of options for players, you can make more strategies ,etc. and even more IV is more balanced than III , i don;t deny yet the beauty and the more balanced V who came after it!
Anyway for me at least, HOMM series are the most beautiful games on the planet,thousands of stories similarity with Lord of the rings!

They aren't, not from what Ubisoft said. It would be interesting if in Heroes 6 they'd make a connection between Axeoth(?), the planet where Heroes 4 takes place, and this planet, forgot its name.

They can't do that since they are alternate realities, not different planets. Sandro from the third game was the master of Markal as he mentions it in this one. Solymr and Crag Hack are also mentioned yet they were last confirmed to be on the Heroes4 planet. If they'd try to connect the two worlds, it would result in a huge mess, what with there being two copies of several key figures.

I have heroes 3,4 and 5 and their expansion. I think heroes 3 is the best, nostalgic value etc. Heroes 5 is damn good, one of the best strategy games i've played. Heroes 4 was ok.
