A great place to camp near here is Ichetucknee Springs Campground, 386-497-2285. It is located next to the State Park at the north entrance, same place as the Blue Hole.
Very cool, and VERY fun! I did this dive yeasterday and it is definatly one of my new favorites! I wish I could have had it to myself like you did here - It was a bit nerve wracking to have a crowd between me and the surface. The sign I read on the trail said it is 40 ft to the bottom, if so thats a new record for me. If you get a chance check out Alexander Spgs in Ocala National Forest south of there - thats another favorite dive of mine...
