Open Up Steam, go to Library and the games sub-category. right-click on L4D2 Demo and click properties. A new window should open, click "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS..." and then type -insecure into the new window and click ok.

Well, I got my Left 4 Dead 2 faster from:

Guys you don't really need to download the plugin to play as infected... Here's how you do it

open console then type both of these

sv_cheats 1

sb_all_bot_team 1 after that type your chosen map, after typing your map press space then type versus (for example map c1m2_streets versus)

after the map loads you can now switch to the infected team ("m" key for default keyboard setting)

the same works for survival, realism, mutation mode just type the mode you want after your chosen map.

here is how u play as infected and versus in singleplayer:by the way i rated 5 starts cause of the good song lol!

okey here is what to do:

1 type in console: map hotel_cm1 versus

2 now u should b able to use sv_cheats 1

3 u may be survivor or infected when u start but when u die u will b infected if u r survivor_ type in console sb_all_bot_team::::::IMPORTANT­!!!!

now your able to play as infected and versus in singleplayer ^^ enjoy plz comment

to respawn now just press b then v and you will respawn as an infected, if it doesnt work, let me know

@JamieMo1993 i always use noclip to get out from.. of course i delete all my friend then i use noclip the i make like 200 witches i the safe room and then i wake them up and go out! yeah i make like 10 tanks to be in there! but the most weirdest thing happen today i was spawning like 100 tanks (ok not 100 but maybe 45 or 30) and then attack me and my group and we did not lose any health point! and i didn't use god 1 ether weird!

then i changed team and still they wouldn't die ARG those Basterds

ok, this might work, i told someone else this about 3months ago and it worked for him, when console first open, type this in console...

bind "F12" "toggleconsole"

this means that everytime you press F12, console should open, you can replace F12 with many other things, for example...

bind "F1" "toggleconsole" (opens when F1 is pressed).

bind "q" "toggleconsole" (opens when q is pressed).

its like this when i start up the l4d2 game pops the console UP! but when i click it down and start a game and click on the buttom over the TAB buttom, nothing happens it's hard to explane but i try so much as i can to write down that i think i you can understand. well im not so good to explaning thing like this so sorry if you don't understand.
