@sikwilly It DOES take talent, and I'm not one of those people who will refer to guitar soloing and etc, so instead, look up the lyrics, fucking poetry, and also the vocals, those growls are really hard to master (and yes, I do think they sound good), I know this because I do such vocals myself and it took a shitload of time to learn. Also remember that this music is being played live without playback, which is amazing. No one is forcing you to like it, but dude stop flaming...

I have to agree with him. I love Entombed's studio recordings. Left Hand Path is, in my opinion, one of the greatest death metal albums. That doesn't mean that this performance isn't sloppy. Listen to the interlude around 4:03. He clearly misses notes.

Blues guitar does work in death metal. Listen to any of morbid angel's first three albums. Evil Spells and Visions of the Dark Side off Altars, The Ancient Ones off Blessed, and Angel of Disease off Covenant all of blues influenced solos.

Left Hand Path is probably imo the best of all Swedish Death Metal songs. It has everything, brutal fast start then the ending middle is haunting, beautiful and melodic, an awesome Death Metal masterpiece.

Not true! I saw them this year, and they played a few tracks off both Left Hand Path, and Clandestine. It was a good mix of old, and newer tracks. Definitely go see them if you have a chance.
