  • ...Wha? What just happened!? XD

  • I was under the impression that you had to race your chocobos to 'S' class before breeding them to get the coloured chocobos?

  • @karlff7 no that just makes it a 100% colored one unless u know how to minipulate the RNG chanses for colored are much lower

ps: ecept for gold u dont need s rank on any to have your 100% chance

  • @karlff7 me too. Guess I was wrong. In the end I got my gold chocobo

  • How the fuck did you figure out that that specific number triggers the glitch?

  • You made her mate with her grandpa. :-P

  • That is sooo cool

  • chocobo inbreeding at its best

  • ...man, this shit is so tedious and time consuming. Isn't there a way to get a gold by killing a Weapon or someting?

  • @gstele09 yeah there is. but trying to kill the weapon is a lot more tedious that this

  • I have my Blue and Green Chocobos and I have 5 Karaka Greens.

Every time I completely restart, feed a Chocobo 5 Greens, and made them mate with a Pipio Nut as shown in the vid, I come out with a Blue or a Green.

I am sure that I'm mating my Blue and Green, no accidental Yellow Chocobos mixed in.

  • @n00bz00rd I forgot to ask the question XD

    What am I doing wrong?

  • @n00bz00rd

If you're following the instructions I posted as a reply to iNSPiREAGAiN 4 months ago then you need to mate the blue and green using a *Saraha Nut* (And use a Zeio Nut when brreding the black and wonderful).

  • @BrutalAl If you don't mind me asking, why, when you have the set up as in this vid, does a Pipio Nut work as compared to the normal Saraha Nut that everyone is used to using?

  • Comment removed

  • In the first place, getting 32767 battle count already took a lot of time. Might as well stick to the normal method. Cool discovery though.

  • @N00bKefka

As stated in the video, as well as in the video description, 32767 battles isn't a requirement, it just cuts out a few random battles, everything seen in the video would still have been doable even without the high battle count.

  • @N00bKefka

Just a quick note: This is very possible without getting the 32,767 battles. I did it last week using BrutalAl's RNG Manipulation advice. Figuring each entry into the Chocobo Ranch advances the RNG by 2 and each Karaka Green advances it by 1, it's easy to figure out how many Karaka Greens would be needed. After each breeding, go fight the required battles, save, hard reset and re-load. From the time I landed at Mideel for my great, I had a Gold in 45 Minutes.

  • My bad, it was gmorris7897's FAQ, yeah. I misread it at gamefaqs.com.

    1- Got it.

2 - Oh, I see. Thank you for your explanation. :)

One last question. Do you know any method (or is it possible to discover one) to breed all the chocobos (from 2 yellows to gold) without failing?

Basically, what I'm asking is, do you know how to breed them all at the first try without that number of battles (i.e., having to do the random battles so they could be ready to breed again)?

    Cheers.

  • @iNSPiREAGAiN -Capture 1xGreat, 1xWonderful -@RNG002 Move Great(F), then Wonderful(M) -@RNG003 Mate Great+Wonderful = Blue F -Exit farm, Fight 6x Battles -@RNG052 Mate Great+Wonderful = Green M -Exit farm, Fight 8x Battles -@RNG007 Mate Blue+Green = Black F -Exit farm, Fight 3x Battles -@RNG008 Mate Black+Wonderful = Gold F -HardReset sets marker to 0 -Visiting Choco Farm Field for a split sec increases marker by 2 -Feeding Karaka Green increases marker by 1 -(Mating/Moving increases marker)
  • @BrutalAl All these questions might a little annoying to you, but what does RNG mean? Is that the type of Green you use?

  • @BrutalAl Nevermind. I think I got it.

  • @iNSPiREAGAiN

    Important Note:

For those lazy-man instructions to work you need to follow them from start. If you for instance already have got a Green Male it might not be the same as the Green Male that is required (due to hidden stats that affect the randomness).

    Just for clarity

It's 1 per Karaka Green, so if you feed a Chocobo 50 Karaka Greens at once the RNG-marker will increase by 50.

  • @BrutalAl

Just saw your video after reading Atom Edge's FAQ regarding Chocobo Breading.

    Simply amazing. Good job.

    2 questions though:

1 - How did you find out that with that exact number of battles, it would cause you not having to wait for the Chocobos to breed again?

2 - Without having that exact number of battles (i.e., having to wait for them to be able to breed again), having to go outside to the World Map and fight 10 random battles, wouldn't that factor change the RGN?

    Thanks in advance

  • @iNSPiREAGAiN

1- A chocobo decides when it's ready by taking the battle count when born + a random number, and when you reach that battle count it will be ready. 32767 is max tho, after that it loops to negative. So, e.g. 32767 + 10 < 0, and 0 < 32767.

2- Fighting battles will not affect the chocobo RNG, randomness regarding battles use a different "RNG".

Moving in and out of the stable will change it however, getting gold would still have been doable of course, but perhaps not this exact way.

  • @iNSPiREAGAiN

Oh and Atom Edge's FAQ? Sure you don't mean gmorris7897's FAQ?

  • I need help. I can't move the Chocobos to the stables. I'm aware of the glitch, I'm playing FF7 on the Psp too.

  • I've heard of speed DATING before but this is a bit ridiculous! :-P

  • Brutal, how would I go about figuring the RNG? I'd sure like to be able to manipulate the thing like you have, but where would I start?

  • isnt it funny the sleepy time music plays when the chocobos get it on. makes u wonder

  • I can't get this to work, do you have to have the 32'767 battle count to confuse the number generator? I have EXACTLY the type and genders shown, does the name effect it?

Also, I've tried doing this the normal way also, I have a Mountain Chocobo, but I can't get a River one for the life of me. Could someone help?

  • @ BrutalAI

When you refer to the battle count, do you mean like how many battles you've had? And if so, how do you check your battle count? (Sorry if I sound noob)

  • Yes, it is how many battles you've had (not only battles won).

The sleeping old man in the cave near Junon/Fort Condor will occasionally wake up when you visit him and tell you.

  • @ BrutalAl

Hm, would it be possible to use/abuse this glitch in order to breed a chocobo with max stats? e.g 176 speed 999 stamina and 100 of all other stats? I only ask because of the RNG method you used to obtain that gold chocobo. Cheers

  • The glitch has nothing to do with the RNG manipulation really.

But yes, the RNG could be manipulated to ensure that a baby would have e.g. higher max speed than its parents.

  • @ BrutalAl

Hm, so I could just fight 32,767 (inclusive of me catching a great/wonderful chocobo of course) then start to breed a gold chocobo with max stats?

  • Fighting 32767 battles could probably take you close to 200hrs.

The only thing the glitch does in the video is making my birds ready to mate again directly after being bred/born. I don't see how provoking it would make getting a perfect gold easier (due to the time it would take to get the battle count up to 32767).

  • @ BrutulAl

Hm, I'm currently attempting a Final Fantasy VII Perfecter Game and I'm also doing it with no escapes. Now, in certain parts of the game I've gotta stay & farm 99 of specific items yes? You also gotta take into consideration me trying to get a perfect gold with fighting the battles inbetween, so I dunno. You might be right (:

  • Boss as shit. Awesome.

  • Does this have any usefulness in speedruns?

  • None at all.

Unless you're trying to speedrun the mating process, then this is as good as it gets.

  • @BrutalAl

can u do all that stuff and it still work without the mating glitch.

  • But good luck getting 32 thousand battles.

  • any chocobo to breed at any time

So you can make babies with gay pairings?

  • Gay pairings has nothing to do with breeding.

Nor can't I make babies by offering them some tea, because that isn't breeding either.

  • Haha, nice!

  • wow! Amazing dude :)

  • Simply amazing :D
