  • don't see how this can increase yields. better land prep and better seed bed means better root growth and higher yields wouldn't it??

  • looks sweet! have you seen any yield bumps from strip tillage?

How fast do you plant? it looked like he was really chuggin

  • @clobenstine thanks! Strip till offers the opportunity to reduce costs and to increase yields in many cases. That client would likely be planting in the 6 mph range. The Pluribus Strip Till unit leaves a very smooth surface that will minimize bouncing of the planter row unit.

  • @jsphbassett Okay, I see this is all on straight rows, but I farm more around hills and contours, do you have any clients in that situation?

  • @clobenstine yes, for sure, but you need to think about your fertilizer differently because you will be drifting more than on straight rows. Also, think about doing a really good job with the row cleaning and the closing wheels on the planter to insure against the possibility you will get off the strip.

  • @jsphbassett Yeah makes sense, so people are still using pull behind tools in those situations? Or do you have folks switching to 3pt implements?

  • @clobenstine 3 pt is much more common. Moreso because it is much less expensive to get set up that way.

  • @jsphbassett Makes sense, so are folks running stackfold planters then too?
