I'm not really a Wiccan, but I do (in a sort practice) witchcraft. I say in a sort because I don't really follow any sort of rituals of any kind. Imy magick lies more on willing things to happen by thought, it's less time consuming and more subtle which is good for me since I live in a Christian household. As far as my faith, I follow what I think is right judging by my experiences and what just feels right

If i am correct, i believe the truth is that the term "witch" is actually an anglo-saxon term for the word "wise". it was translated over the generations and added to "craft," being the "process" or "the act of being". so in truth, the term "witchcraft" is the "the craft of the wise." in this meaning, one can understand that such a craft of the wise can be had for any religion or faith. even a christian priest could be considered a witch, as he, or she, practices a "craft of the wise."

@swirlcrop They're not entirely the same. Many Wiccans refer to themselves as Witches, many practice witchcraft, but witchcraft is more of a craft, whereas Wicca is a spiritual/religious system. They're not interchangeable to most Wiccans/Witches, but they are to quite a few. I don't think there's a clear, black or white answer. I've been practicing this path for 15 years.

Imy magick lies more on willing things to happen by thought, it's less time consuming and more subtle which is good for me since I live in a Christian household. If i am correct, i believe the truth is that the term "witch" is actually an anglo-saxon term for the word "wise". it was translated over the generations and added to "craft," being the "process" or "the act of being". so in truth, the term "witchcraft" is the "the craft of the wise." in this meaning, one can understand that such a craft of the wise can be had for any religion or faith. even a christian priest could be considered a witch, as he, or she, practices a "craft of the wise."

@swirlcrop They're not entirely the same. Many Wiccans refer to themselves as Witches, many practice witchcraft, but witchcraft is more of a craft, whereas Wicca is a spiritual/religious system. They're not interchangeable to most Wiccans/Witches, but they are to quite a few. I don't think there's a clear, black or white answer. I've been practicing this path for 15 years.
