It just cracks me up how much taller Daphne is than Donny, it's hilarious. I mean she towers over him! I didn't realize how tall Jane really was until I saw her stand next to the guy who plays Donny.
Gosh they are so hot together... Niles and Daphne of course ;-p. And dare I say, as an heterosexual girl, man! Jane/Daphne is *takes her Niles accent* fit and hot as hell! And, again as an heterosexual girl, to think David is gay... *burst into tears*
"They Can't Take That Away From Me" is a 1937 song written by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and introduced by Fred Astaire in the 1937 film Shall We Dance." - Wikipedia
I hate the edit they make in syndication to this episode. The point where Martin uses his beer as a way to tell Daphne how he feels is edited out in the syndicated version to the point that it loses its purpose (and confused the heck out of me the first time I saw it again after ten or so years.)
The show is about love. Even though Frasier is sort of vain, you know he loves Martin and Niles. But to me the show was really about Niles and Daphne. It's strange that a show about romance is so appealing to me. And though nether Niles or Daphne are the best looking stars in the world, though I do find her quite attractive, it works so well. As a geek myself, I identify with Niles. How many guys are scared to tell a woman that he loves her because he's afraid it will ruin the friendship?
Funny how Roz is all worked up about being sat next to her ex-boyfriend when the groom is another ex-boyfriend. I think they should have gotten Roz and Donny back together...then at least he would have been happy. Or maybe they should have had Mel and Donny fall for each other. I always felt bad for Donny abd Mel even though I love Daphne and Niles together.
"They can't take that away from me". There's a great version by "Lady Ella" Fitzgerald and "Satchmo" Louie Armstrong. The Jane Monheit version (to be found on youtube)is quite nice as well.
Great song to listen to, especially after gettin' kicked in the nadgers (figuratively speaking)
"We may never, never meet again, on the bumpy road to love, but I'll always always keep the memory of..."
In the episode "To Tell The Truth" Niles was about to just tell Donny about his feelings for Daphne to be honest about the divorce case. Yet an incident occurred and he ended up not telling him. Then Donny started dating Daphne.
Makes me wonder what would have happened if he just told him..
but it ends well anyways so I suppose it doesn't matter :)
then people watching this for the first time should refrain from reading the comments before getting to the end :D...and not the other way arround. we have watched it and we're allowed to express what we thought of the events that happened
It's interesting that over the years Frasier starts to fade a bit. He's still centre stage but he's more of an observor to things going on with other people. He's still centre-stage but the plot's no longer really about him.
Not true.... There are still loads that centre on Frasier solely beyond this point. 5 whole seasons worth in fact... These ones were just all about Niles and Daphne finally coming together.
@Hairysteed I would agree with that last point, except Frasier was in Boston at the time. LOL. But otherwise, you're right. Frasier does love to meddle in his brother's life.
forget spike and buffy, monica and chandler, will and elizabeth... Niles and Daphne are the sweetest TV or film ship ever, with perhaps the exception of ingrid bregman and humphrey bogart in casablanca
Frasier told Daphne about Niles feelings. She thought that Frasier had feelings for, and when she said to Martin "Dr. Crane has feelings for me" he said he knew about it, thinking she meant niles. Then Frasier blurted out that Niles was crazy about Daphne while he was on pain killers & she was giving him a back massage.
Those who really watched the show all know one thing. Martin is the true intelligence behind the show. It's the point, there is book smart, and smart ; smart...
when i first saw a preview of frasier i couldn't imagine i would like it... but now i find myself watching this show every night ^^ i love it.. best show ever.. and this was probably my favourite episode aswell.. thanks for uploading =)

It's funny how you can trace the root of all these love dramas back to Frasier
-Frasier persuaded Niles to hire Donny -> Donny got together with Daphne
-Frasier reminded Niles to seize the moment -> Niles got married
-Now he's nudging Niles and Daphne back together... I bet he was responsible for Niles marrying Maris!
