@Republican1214 why? so some years down the track they can do this all over again? nah!!! we need to evolve past this bullcrap we think of as the be all and end all of society and it's only because of people who think like you that we don't. and did you know that when you get used to living in poverty that you also get devalued and the system we have decides you can get used to even lower levels of poverty?

You guys, the private sector and government are both to blame! All the politicians are in bed with the CEOs and totally know what they're doing. Vote for someone who takes the needs of the people seriously (and not just the needs of their own wallet).
Hey Michael, how’s the new book sales going? According to Celebertyworth, your wealth is listed at $50 million! Going to donate any of the profits to “Occupy Wall Street Protesters”? I bet not! Keep the crowd stirred up and the profits flowing in! “Michael Moore, Hypocrite and King of the Capitalist”!
Soon it will get a bit colder; no matter; many of the large rich buildings are quite warm in the main lobby; and there is plenty of room inside to stay quite warm.....
The first words out of Rachel’s mouth when interviewing Michael at the “book store” was introducing his new book with a banner of it at the bottom of the screen! Hay Michael, how’s the book sale doing? Going to donate any of the profits to the “Occupy Wall Street” cause? I bet not! What a punk!
are you serious? ....you fucking serious. go help your local homeless man, help sick people, do some charity funding. go fuck yourself for sitting on ur ass complaining. i never do these dumb youtube rants but for god sake your pathetic sitting there typing away well doing nothing but hypocrisy. michael moore is doing all he can.
@lovetownsend: Hey punk, I work for a living, how about you? Or are you just another one of those liberals that I’m supporting? You probably don’t even vote! I bet I’m not too far off the mark, am I! Get a life loser!
micheal moore is talking sense we all need to listen to what he says, he tells it as it is and that takes a lot of bravery, i am full of admiraton for him. don't stop michael for all our sake.
There's even Occupy here in Australia, in larger cities - don't fully understand the movement's relevance in Australia (we have fairly tight banking regulation, Medicare covers primary health and we don't have that much money in politics) but it shows the level of global support. Good job occupiers!
They need to occupy the state universities. State universities are gang stalking targeted students who are not ultra loyal. State universities trick students into taking out loans and into getting degrees that a lot of evil employers refuse to value. Racism and homophobia are rampant at state universities. The university system is a complete lie that must be exposed and rebuked in protest.
IF MICHAEL MOORE IS SO CONCERNED ABOUT THE POOR MAN THEN WHY DONT HE TAKE THE PROCEEDS FROM THE FILMS AND BOOKS HE MAKES AND CONTRIBUTE TO PEOPLE LIKE ME. IVE BEEN ON UNEMPLOYMENT FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. HE IS SUCH A HYPROCRITE IN EVERYTHING HE SAYS. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE HOUSE HE LIVES IN OR THE CAR HE DRIVES. I DRIVE A 14 YEAR OLD TRUCK AND RENT A PLACE THAT DONT EVEN HAVE A BATHROOM SINK. NO MR MOORE IS ONLY OUT FOR HIS WELLBEING TRUST ME ON THAT.
Such a fraud. This fat hypocrite is laughing all the way to the bank duping stupid liberals. Not to mention him pushing a reporter and saying he lies ...pot meet kettle.
The mainstream corporate media instead fills the front pages and headlines with stories on celebreties, scandal and crime in their sensationalism driven effort to maximize profits and protect the rich while ignoring the protests. This is nothing new since the same media ignored the economic problems for the past few decades by deflecting public attention.
Bank of America RELUCTANTLY ditched their proposed $5 fee for debit cards because of OWS. The pressure they are creating is working, and hopefully will lead to more changes from corporate entities.
Such actions produce the same OLD results with NO central demand allowing Media & Government to frame the debate RATHER THAN discussing the REAL ISSUE of HOW OUR MONEY IS SPENT By taking CONTROL of the situation with Nonviolent Marches to Occupy the Hearts & Minds unable to participate in the movement yet support it's goals GAIN MASS APPEAL & Media attention to Reframe the debate under One*Demand + Individual Directed Capitalization My*1040 YOUR SAY IN HOW 65% of YOUR Tax Contribution IS SPENT.
I totally agree with Michael Moore on the issue of violence: if someone at a demonstration is trying to incite violence, you may assume that person is A PLANT FROM "HOMELAND SECURITY" or such! There was an aggressive woman at the Occupy Detroit demonstration, who SLAPPED a man for a total BS reason, and refused to get out of his face when he tried to avoid confrontation. Observers started chanting, "Peace! Peace!" and she reluctantly left him alone, but she was skulking around there all day.
Moore makes me sick. Playing the race card in Oakland. He needs to be a cop for once and see what it is like. Also, education, health care, etc. are societal problems, not business problems. We have poor education because education starts with the individual. Same with health care. We have high taxes and high demand for government that people have to work two jobs and can't afford to educate themselves or their kids or stay healthy. We wanted government and we got it.
@whyamimrpink78 Yeah, you're right that he doesn't know what its like - he's never shot a prone black man in the back of the head for the horrible crime of trying to take a commuter train.
@soccerdude601 In all the history of man you are bound to find a bad mark or two in the police force but you shouldn't let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch to say. People like you and Moore are so quick to criticize cops when ever you don't know how they are trained and what they have to go through every year. If you went through what they go through you will see their situation totally different.
WE don't have a government that works for the people anymore... We have BIG BUSINESS and the elite running this country.... Lobbyists and payoffs too congress have corrupted our system .... As far as health care EVERY American should have that protection whether they have a job or not... It's not like you can just pass off sickness like you can buying a product... YOU EITHER get care.... OR you die... seems like pretty simple math doesn't it....
@whyamimrpink78 What do you mean by "We have poor education because education starts with the individual. Same with health care."? Please do elaborate! Don't tell me you're one of those insane libertarians that thinks the world would be a better place without government. We need some form of government to function. We need free healthcare because paying for health care has proven not to work for the majority in the U.S. Don't put all the blame on government, the private sector is also at fault.
@ogrish84 We need government involvement but what we need is local and state government because we can control those level of government better. The problem we have now is that people are so lazy(or they want communism) that they want the government to run everything. Lets throw money at education or health care that will fix it, that is their thinking. What they don't realize that with that taxes need to be raised causing an increase in price in goods an services.....
@ogrish84 .....and a decrease in salary and benefits. That is if you tax the job creators. Tax the individual then that is less money for them so they have to work more. That means people have less time to work on an education or to educate their kids. They have less money and time to eat healthy to stay healthy hurting any form of health care. Both parents are working while the kids stay at home and don't do homework. After working so many hours people don't feel like do much afterwards....
@whyamimrpink78 Realistically, look at how much more in taxes they're being asked to pay. It seems like a lot but compared to their earnings it's a drop in the bucket. You need to educate yourself better before making dumb statements.
@ogrish84 .....That is the problem. This is what big federal governmnet does and this is what many politicians, mainly democrats want. They want us to be a society where we work a lot or depend on the government for health care or education. We become to invovled in trying to make ends meet or become so dependent on the government that we can't control them. Now they want to control education to basically raise your kids because we are too busy to do it ourselves.....
@whyamimrpink78 Sorry you choose to believe right wing talking points, but Democrats don't envision enslaving American dependence on the government. Just the opposite. People are not truely free if they don't have access to basic health care, housing, jobs, etc;. The republicans are against the middle class enjoying ANY of those things, without paying huge sums to do so. They see corporate America running the government as the best a Capitalist society can provide, but they're wrong. And you too
@sep0507 If republicans see cooperate america running the country then why do democrats pass policies that hurt small businesses and only help big businesses and cooperations? Republicans are, for the most part, state rights and giving the people and private sector the ability to be free and control government. When they are in control things are great. People are free when they can think for themselves, make their own decision and don't have to be dependent on the government that they......
@sep0507 .....can't control. You want the government to give you health care, housing, jobs, etc. but really you want them to control you so you don't have to think. The republicans are for people working hard, minding their own business, establishing strong communities and building a strong middle class. Democrats are for destroying small businesses, hindering people from working hard and moving up in life or establishing a comfortable lifestyle. They want us to be dependent on them......
@sep0507 .....or the big businesses they support. That is why they pass the policies they do that continue to destroy insurance companies or small buisnesses. They want the elites to do well and us to just be good comrades. If you don't mind working for nothing, getting nowhere in life and never thinking on your own then fine. I love being free and independent. You need to educate yourself better before making dumb statements.
@whyamimrpink78 What dumb statement? You just agreed with me that republicans are at fault for our economy! THEY are the ones trying to secure the elites and big business, not the dems. EVERY other country in the world has a higher tax rate than the US. Why is that? Why is the US so far behind most other civilized coutries in healthcare, education, etc;? Because the repiblicans aren't interested in the people, just themselves and their corporate friends. You don't need a masters degree to see it
@sep0507 I didn't agree with you. Republicans are the one for the most part that want state rights and want more freedom in business, meaning small businesses can succeed. Dems. policies hurt small businesses and the middle class. And if you look at all taxes in this country our tax rate is high. Our health care quality is tops, our advance education is tops. Private schools are better than public. Amazing how things run by the government, especially the federal one seem to suck.
@sep0507 Dems. aren't interesting in people, they are interesting in controlling your life. That is it. They are just smart enough to make it look like they are helping you, especially to the idiots in the world. Now if they can just get the smart ones to get so occupy with work they will succeed.
@whyamimrpink78 uhm guess what, republicans have the exact same intentions... it's fucking idiotic to fight which party is better, it doesnt even matter who is in power. Reps just stand for certain things and so do dems cuz they know thats how they can split people up and give them the illusion of choice. Its all a bunch of bullshit. If republicans were real republicans, they WOULD legalize cannabis for example. Theyre hypocrits.
@Mediumchild That is the overall problem of our country. Republicans claim state rights but when it comes to gay rights and drugs they want to pass federal laws. The problem is is that people elect officials that support their ideas instead of good leaders that will balance a budget and uphold the constitution. The federal government is there to deal with foreign affairs and give us citizens the ability to control government. The problem is is that we have gotten away from that.
@whyamimrpink78 Talk about being hoodwinked! The right wing agenda has indoctrinated you pretty well. They have you rooting against your own best interest! Wow, that's really stupid, dude. You're a typical right wing sheep, easy to sway your votes because of your lack of intelligence. The only ones that don't believe the right wing rhetoric is their big business campaign donors. Why? Because they know it's an act to get morons to follow them knowing it'll never benefit them. Kinda like Zombies.
@sep0507 How am i rooting against my own self interest? I want to control government. While I do like government involvement I want the ability to control government which is why I am against big federal government and for state rights. You are the one that lack intelligence. You feel that the federal government is there for you but really they are there to control you. You can beg for commuism all you want. I want the ability to control my government.
@whyamimrpink78 and by demonising the federal government you are merely giving support and succour to the forces of the right. You are essentially a tool of the ruling class. You are misguided and a part of the problem, not the solution.
@njw3000 I am not aganist government. I am for controlling government. This country was set up so the federal government can grant us rights to control governments and the states were to govern themselves. We have government and the ability to control it. Great system. The problem is is that we are getting away from that so now others are being a tool to the ruling class, including you, making you the problem. I am going after the solution so I am a part of it.
@ogrish84 ....That is the problem with a big government that involves 300 million people. We lose control of it. I am for government programs but I am for controlling the government before anything else. You keep believing that the government is there for you comrade. A little hint, the government is there for themselves, they are just smart enough to hide it.
@whyamimrpink78 Government officials are servants to their corporate masters. IT makes no sense to blame the government and ignore the corporations corrupting it for their owninterests.
Also, the reason why we're forced to work two jobs per household is because of the cost of living continuing to go up. That's not governments fault, that's the private sectors fault. The private sector keeps raising the price on basic necessities. The private sector has came up with the grand idea of turning people into debt slaves. Forcing people to work their whole lives just so they can afford to hang onto the one house. Government needs to be taken back by the people & work for the people.
@ogrish84 Prior to the Ronald Reagan days of office, the average worker was offered a 40hr. work week with benefits. Since the early 80's the corporations have launched class warfare on the middle class by getting rid of those jobs by calling them part time with no bene's. I've seen it first hand. Even if you worked over 40 hrs. , you still didn't receive benefits because you were labeled part time, forcing people to work another part time job just to have insurance etc.
@ogrish84 Wow, you are so brilliant. Do you teach economics at Princeton? I would really love to take one of your courses. The enlightened brilliance in your wisdom belongs in the Bhagavad Gita. Too bad your nuts are numb.
@eqsmooth Teaching economics at Princeton doesn't mean one is a competent economist. Keynes and his crackpot followers hi-jacked much of the profession decades ago. All of their predictions and models keep blowing up.
Look no further than Ben Bernanke, former Princetion professor, to prove the point that these people are econometricians, not economists. Bernanke has never gotten anything right. Neither has Tim Geithner.
The only guy in D.C. who predicted all of this was Ron Paul.
@joe Ron Paul, a grumpy old man with fresh ideas. I support him totally. Too bad Fox has fucked him in the ass. It is dreamy & idealistic to go all Hayek, Mises & Austrian Economics on me but I read most everything Ayn Rand ever wrote. Took a decade of my life. She was no Libertarian or Republican & she loathed Reagan. Ron Paul is the only one telling the truth & willing to make the paradigm shift, but 50% of this country are rednecks, liberal or not & they just wouldn't make the sacrifices.
@ogrish84 LOL! Who controls the money supply? It's not that goods are any more dear as it is the government is monetizing debt. What do you think happens to the dollar's purchasing power when the FED buys Treasuries with money it creates out of nothing?
A price is a ratio between a medium of exchange (currency, money) and what is being purchased.
The world has experimented with a fiat paper currency standard. It's a debt-baed sysytem. It eventually implodes.
its the fault of the Federal Reserve... NOT the private sector. the market will regulate the prices themselves.... but our warmongering foreign policies and spending billions of dollars overseas is causing a huge amount of inflation which the Fed cannot regulate... price of gas went up tremenously in the last 10 years, but it stayed steady priced in silver... where there is our need to run this insane empire, you will see inflation... economic failure brought the end to many empires
The whole eastern block and the Berlin Wall was washed away when one east german border guard under the pressure of the flood of people wanting change opened one gate in the berlin wall and released a tsunami that changed the world.
wait wait wait... But it's ok for our government to redistribute our tax dollars to the rich ? that's ok with you? Don't cry freedom to me when that shit's happening... Every other industrialized nation on this planet has freedom also but they have more equality than we do.... go figure...
Ask how the rich did it... They sure redistributed our tax dollars to "them" now didn't they... And as far as our taxes I pay mine every year... does Bank of America ? Did GE ? How about Boeing ? Dude think clearly just how lopsided the game has become... The 1 percent OWN OUR government... There hand picking who get's in there and in turn having laws passed that benefit THEM not the people... It's called Fascism... Welcome to America
@funkyflights So ALL the rich got bailed out? That's not true.
Some would do well to understand the difference between a market capitalist (Moore's one) who competes for consumer preference and a policital corporatist who seeks mandates, subsidies, public-private partnerships, regulations to protect market share/create barriers to entry, tax credits that only some can access, limited liability, collectivized risk, etc.
I am only upset when some firms pay a far higher corporate tax rate than others. I don't think there should be a corporate tax at all. It's a tax on production. It's a myth that a legal entity callen a corporation pays taxes anyway. It's the shareholders who get a lower share price of dividend and employees who get lower wages than they otherwise would.
The progressive set up this corporatist system during New Deal and Progressive eras.
The early progressive explicity stated that they were going to tie the needs of the state (that they pretended was the people) to big business. That sounds like a partnership to me.
Corporatist measures like state-created cartels (the Federal Reserve is one), mandates, subsidies, regulations to create barriers to entry, etc. all grew like a cancer during New Deal.
The New Deal "Braintrust" was biased toward bigness because large firms were thought to be more efficient.
@funkyflights Haha are you serious? You think 'your' tax dollars are being redistributed to the rich? Have you even looked at the statistics of who pays what in relation to taxes? The rich already cover most of the bill. *sigh* Ignorant people like yourself are demanding handpouts in the street. This country is screwed, just like Greece.
Dude are you blind ? Don't sit here and tell me who's ignorant... Has your head been in the sand the last 10 years ? Jesus dude... wake up... The biggest theft in the history of the world just happened by the top percent in this country and your actually sitting here buying into there bullshit... There are big companies right now paying NOTHING is federal taxes..... ZIP! NADA! Dude please lose your ignorance before we lose our country.... People like you are helping them
@funkyflights I'm far from ignorant on this issue. Do you even know the percentage of taxes paid by the wealthy? Don't point to a red herring as evidence for your argument, i.e. "some big companies pay no federal taxes". Let's talk about REALITY. Look up the percentage of the tax burden that's paid by the 1%. Then come talk to me.
Ok let's talk reality... Slowly but surely over the last decade from the Bush tax cuts they have paid less and less of there share... Ask Warren Buffet who just openly said WERE WINNING... I suppose one of the greatest business men in America is a liar ? Warren Buffet summed it up and now he's under attack by the very politicians who are hand picked by the right to act as there corporate puppets... Top percent own more than 42 percent of the wealth in the entire nation...
I pray and hope to God that these brave people don't ever stop and persist on until something essential happens. We can't continue living in a corrupt world...we need change, drastic change that happens now.
Come on I think we all know that these people in government see what's coming. They're preparing they're bunkers. Distracting us. Its real clear to see that the occupy movement can convert into marshal law. The system won't collapse if it keeps being delayed. Rumors of war souls be heard, because we have definitely heard the battle cry.
Mike, I agree with you 99% of the time, but you're DEAD ASS wrong on this one. The police in most places have abused the shit out of everyone for 2 generations now with absolute impunity. There are going to be large groups of people who see this as the perfect time to break even with the people who gave them all of their troubles. Not everyone who goes beyond chanting "shame shame shame" while someone is stomping on their skull, or who got stomped on yesterday, is an agent provocateur. Shove it!
@bamboo4tameshigiri Check out what Mikey tweeted last night: "It is historically always safe to assume that if u see a "protester" being violent, he is probably an undercover cop." He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, so don't be too hard on him. lol
@bamboo4tameshigiri I have no way of knowing for sure, some of it just might be general cynicism, but the majority of the people who push the agent provocateur line from what I've observed are conspiracy theorists of the Alex Jones tendency. They're always some sinister plot with him. He's the most disempowering guy I've ever encountered. Tunisians, Egyptians, Syrians: they're all foreign agents part of a conspiracy to do.... something. Interestingly, all the dictators pushed the same line.
@TheElMoIsEviL That's the real violence, but don't expect liberals to understand that. They'd rather spew corporate propaganda about Anarchists oppressing Wells Fargo's windows. Self-appointed activist police dictating what tactics and who constitutes "real" and "good" protesters. They're not even capable of making the distinction between violence and vandalism. Fuck liberals and their paternalistic attitude.

@incirlik1 You seriously need to get a life. Michael Moore has donated millions of dollars to ordinary citizens including paying for the cancer treatment for one his staunchest opponents, the wife of the owner of the Moorewatch website, who could not afford to pay because of no Healthcare. I wonder if they oppose Healthcare now. Think about it, 50 million people without Healthcare, 50 million people on food stamps, 15 million people unemployed, trillions of dollars wasted on wars!
Common sense should kick in though. It would stand to reason if someone (a cop) is beating up someone you don't stand there filming it to put on You Tube. You defend that person. You defend yourself.
omg she is hot... does that make me a sexist? oh god she's so hot she's making me sexist! (stole that from fotc)

State universities trick students into taking out loans and into getting degrees that a lot of evil employers refuse to value. Racism and homophobia are rampant at state universities. The university system is a complete lie that must be exposed and rebuked in protest.

@whyamimrpink78
OR you die... seems like pretty simple math doesn't it....
funkyflights 4 months ago 4
@whyamimrpink78 What do you mean by "We have poor education because education starts with the individual. Same with health care."? Please do elaborate! Don't tell me you're one of those insane libertarians that thinks the world would be a better place without government. We need some form of government to function. We need free healthcare because paying for health care has proven not to work for the majority in the U.S. Don't put all the blame on government, the private sector is also at fault.
ogrish84 4 months ago 2
@ogrish84 We need government involvement but what we need is local and state government because we can control those level of government better. The problem we have now is that people are so lazy(or they want communism) that they want the government to run everything. Lets throw money at education or health care that will fix it, that is their thinking. What they don't realize that with that taxes need to be raised causing an increase in price in goods an services.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@ogrish84 .....and a decrease in salary and benefits. That is if you tax the job creators. Tax the individual then that is less money for them so they have to work more. That means people have less time to work on an education or to educate their kids. They have less money and time to eat healthy to stay healthy hurting any form of health care. Both parents are working while the kids stay at home and don't do homework. After working so many hours people don't feel like do much afterwards....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Realistically, look at how much more in taxes they're being asked to pay. It seems like a lot but compared to their earnings it's a drop in the bucket. You need to educate yourself better before making dumb statements.
sep0507 4 months ago
@ogrish84 .....That is the problem. This is what big federal governmnet does and this is what many politicians, mainly democrats want. They want us to be a society where we work a lot or depend on the government for health care or education. We become to invovled in trying to make ends meet or become so dependent on the government that we can't control them. Now they want to control education to basically raise your kids because we are too busy to do it ourselves.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Sorry you choose to believe right wing talking points, but Democrats don't envision enslaving American dependence on the government. Just the opposite. People are not truely free if they don't have access to basic health care, housing, jobs, etc;. The republicans are against the middle class enjoying ANY of those things, without paying huge sums to do so. They see corporate America running the government as the best a Capitalist society can provide, but they're wrong. And you too
sep0507 4 months ago
@sep0507 If republicans see cooperate america running the country then why do democrats pass policies that hurt small businesses and only help big businesses and cooperations? Republicans are, for the most part, state rights and giving the people and private sector the ability to be free and control government. When they are in control things are great. People are free when they can think for themselves, make their own decision and don't have to be dependent on the government that they......
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@sep0507 .....can't control. You want the government to give you health care, housing, jobs, etc. but really you want them to control you so you don't have to think. The republicans are for people working hard, minding their own business, establishing strong communities and building a strong middle class. Democrats are for destroying small businesses, hindering people from working hard and moving up in life or establishing a comfortable lifestyle. They want us to be dependent on them......
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@sep0507 .....or the big businesses they support. That is why they pass the policies they do that continue to destroy insurance companies or small buisnesses. They want the elites to do well and us to just be good comrades. If you don't mind working for nothing, getting nowhere in life and never thinking on your own then fine. I love being free and independent. You need to educate yourself better before making dumb statements.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 What dumb statement? You just agreed with me that republicans are at fault for our economy! THEY are the ones trying to secure the elites and big business, not the dems. EVERY other country in the world has a higher tax rate than the US. Why is that? Why is the US so far behind most other civilized coutries in healthcare, education, etc;? Because the repiblicans aren't interested in the people, just themselves and their corporate friends. You don't need a masters degree to see it
sep0507 4 months ago
@sep0507 I didn't agree with you. Republicans are the one for the most part that want state rights and want more freedom in business, meaning small businesses can succeed. Dems. policies hurt small businesses and the middle class. And if you look at all taxes in this country our tax rate is high. Our health care quality is tops, our advance education is tops. Private schools are better than public. Amazing how things run by the government, especially the federal one seem to suck.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@sep0507 Dems. aren't interesting in people, they are interesting in controlling your life. That is it. They are just smart enough to make it look like they are helping you, especially to the idiots in the world. Now if they can just get the smart ones to get so occupy with work they will succeed.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 uhm guess what, republicans have the exact same intentions... it's fucking idiotic to fight which party is better, it doesnt even matter who is in power. Reps just stand for certain things and so do dems cuz they know thats how they can split people up and give them the illusion of choice. Its all a bunch of bullshit. If republicans were real republicans, they WOULD legalize cannabis for example. Theyre hypocrits.
Mediumchild 4 months ago
@Mediumchild That is the overall problem of our country. Republicans claim state rights but when it comes to gay rights and drugs they want to pass federal laws. The problem is is that people elect officials that support their ideas instead of good leaders that will balance a budget and uphold the constitution. The federal government is there to deal with foreign affairs and give us citizens the ability to control government. The problem is is that we have gotten away from that.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Talk about being hoodwinked! The right wing agenda has indoctrinated you pretty well. They have you rooting against your own best interest! Wow, that's really stupid, dude. You're a typical right wing sheep, easy to sway your votes because of your lack of intelligence. The only ones that don't believe the right wing rhetoric is their big business campaign donors. Why? Because they know it's an act to get morons to follow them knowing it'll never benefit them. Kinda like Zombies.
sep0507 4 months ago
@sep0507 How am i rooting against my own self interest? I want to control government. While I do like government involvement I want the ability to control government which is why I am against big federal government and for state rights. You are the one that lack intelligence. You feel that the federal government is there for you but really they are there to control you. You can beg for commuism all you want. I want the ability to control my government.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 and by demonising the federal government you are merely giving support and succour to the forces of the right. You are essentially a tool of the ruling class. You are misguided and a part of the problem, not the solution.
njw3000 4 months ago
@njw3000 I am not aganist government. I am for controlling government. This country was set up so the federal government can grant us rights to control governments and the states were to govern themselves. We have government and the ability to control it. Great system. The problem is is that we are getting away from that so now others are being a tool to the ruling class, including you, making you the problem. I am going after the solution so I am a part of it.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@ogrish84 ....That is the problem with a big government that involves 300 million people. We lose control of it. I am for government programs but I am for controlling the government before anything else. You keep believing that the government is there for you comrade. A little hint, the government is there for themselves, they are just smart enough to hide it.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Government officials are servants to their corporate masters. IT makes no sense to blame the government and ignore the corporations corrupting it for their owninterests.
woostopalypse 4 months ago

Too bad your nuts are numb.
eqsmooth 4 months ago
@eqsmooth Teaching economics at Princeton doesn't mean one is a competent economist. Keynes and his crackpot followers hi-jacked much of the profession decades ago. All of their predictions and models keep blowing up.
Look no further than Ben Bernanke, former Princetion professor, to prove the point that these people are econometricians, not economists. Bernanke has never gotten anything right. Neither has Tim Geithner.
The only guy in D.C. who predicted all of this was Ron Paul.
joepeeler34 4 months ago
@joe Ron Paul, a grumpy old man with fresh ideas. I support him totally. Too bad Fox has fucked him in the ass. It is dreamy & idealistic to go all Hayek, Mises & Austrian Economics on me but I read most everything Ayn Rand ever wrote. Took a decade of my life. She was no Libertarian or Republican & she loathed Reagan. Ron Paul is the only one telling the truth & willing to make the paradigm shift, but 50% of this country are rednecks, liberal or not & they just wouldn't make the sacrifices.
eqsmooth 4 months ago
@ogrish84 LOL! Who controls the money supply? It's not that goods are any more dear as it is the government is monetizing debt. What do you think happens to the dollar's purchasing power when the FED buys Treasuries with money it creates out of nothing?
A price is a ratio between a medium of exchange (currency, money) and what is being purchased.
The world has experimented with a fiat paper currency standard. It's a debt-baed sysytem. It eventually implodes.
joepeeler34 4 months ago
@ogrish84
its the fault of the Federal Reserve...

Dude think clearly just how lopsided the game has become... The 1 percent OWN OUR government... There hand picking who get's in there and in turn having laws passed that benefit THEM not the people... It's called Fascism... Welcome to America
funkyflights 4 months ago
@funkyflights So ALL the rich got bailed out? That's not true.
Some would do well to understand the difference between a market capitalist (Moore's one) who competes for consumer preference and a policital corporatist who seeks mandates, subsidies, public-private partnerships, regulations to protect market share/create barriers to entry, tax credits that only some can access, limited liability, collectivized risk, etc.
joepeeler34 4 months ago
I am only upset when some firms pay a far higher corporate tax rate than others. I don't think there should be a corporate tax at all. It's a tax on production. It's a myth that a legal entity callen a corporation pays taxes anyway. It's the shareholders who get a lower share price of dividend and employees who get lower wages than they otherwise would.
The progressive set up this corporatist system during New Deal and Progressive eras.
joepeeler34 4 months ago
The early progressive explicity stated that they were going to tie the needs of the state (that they pretended was the people) to big business. That sounds like a partnership to me.
Corporatist measures like state-created cartels (the Federal Reserve is one), mandates, subsidies, regulations to create barriers to entry, etc. all grew like a cancer during New Deal.
The New Deal "Braintrust" was biased toward bigness because large firms were thought to be more efficient.
joepeeler34 4 months ago
@funkyflights Haha are you serious? You think 'your' tax dollars are being redistributed to the rich? Have you even looked at the statistics of who pays what in relation to taxes? The rich already cover most of the bill. *sigh* Ignorant people like yourself are demanding handpouts in the street. This country is screwed, just like Greece.

funkyflights 4 months ago
@funkyflights I'm far from ignorant on this issue. Do you even know the percentage of taxes paid by the wealthy? Don't point to a red herring as evidence for your argument, i.e. "some big companies pay no federal taxes". Let's talk about REALITY. Look up the percentage of the tax burden that's paid by the 1%. Then come talk to me.
bahdahdoop 4 months ago
@bahdahdoop
