This reminds me of my Grandfather who recently passed. He had a trouble with his lungs and it kept progressing until the hospital had to send him home with hospice. I listened to this song recently and realized that this is what my grandpa was saying. He gave up, he fought for as long as he could for his family but he couldn't take it any longer. I know he's up in heaven with my grandma. I know they are looking out for me. I know God is taking GOOD care of him up there on those streets of gold.
