  • Dam man think that some one needs to check the wind conditions next time

  • should lern to redirect ;)

  • So what size Blade was it, and was it , and was it a Blade II or Blade III

    en063116 ?

  • I'm not sure if I'm more impressed by the height or the hang time. He must have been close to 20-25 feet up. That was awesome!

My Blade 8.5 popped me up about 15 feet this past weekend. Lucky for me, I had a softer landing than this guy did LOL.

  • He's lucky and stupid at the same time why fly something with that kind of power and don't have have an emergency release or instant depower

  • lol, he WAS wearing kite killers...

but would you let go when that high up???

but he was way overpowered, should have chose a smaller kite me thinks!

  • @prayfawind all kites that size have kite killers on them thats prob how he came down so fast and hard

  • @JDC1985WWE not all kites that size have kitekillers on them its more likely the kite collapsed after a gust. and if he had kite killers im sure he would have used them before he got that high

  • Awesome height...........8/10 lol

  • he simly hasn't learn how to brake and to depower! Maybe the wind was too strong?

    Guess he hurt himself!!

  • thats got to be a blade.

  • i don't saw a disaster comming :p

  • goooooooaaaal!

  • scarry:[

  • crazy!!!!

  • Use a 4-liner or a depower kite with a bar...

  • that is a 4 liner,

maybe the winds were just too big?

    well anyway i wish i could ,

jump like that on my 7m,

    still need to learn

  • basicaly also lamba and oxigen also pointed out whats i had meant to explain... but i never said they were all like that

  • thanks... for basicaly repeating what i said... unfortunatly you/we also forgot to mention these kites are mostly controled from left to right... and while your 20 feet in the air it is hard to SLOWLY aim your kite down all i said was that most are tied to the waist and letting go od the handles does nothing... what is bullshit about that?

  • that guy shit its pans few times

  • thats why you shouldn't ever fly 2 line kites... no way of killing the power.

  • its a 4 line kite ¬_¬

  • oh yeah... didnt see the handles, just saw the kite killers and though they where simple loop handles that you get on 2 line kites.

  • So sketchy! I don't think the kite killers would have helped in mid air. It might as well have been a 2 line kite, given the situation.

Inland flying is sketchy as hell; pick your days wisely!

  • problem with most of these kites is that they are tied to your waist... so even if you wanted to let go you couldnt... hanging on to the handles simply mean you have more of a chance of controling it or mor likely aiming it to were you want to crash lol

  • bullshit, if it's on your waist then your body is taking the power and not your arms, meaning your arms aren't under any strain and can control the kite effectively. if you are unhooked, ie. having all the power on the arms, it is much harder to control the kite as your body's positioning affects how you will turn the kite.

  • wow lucky me, it never happened, yet...

  • dayam! it take some nerve to hang on, even more nerve to let go, bet he was up there thinking about hospital food or trying not to break any roof tiles.

  • haha thats funny.... how big is your kite?

  • LOL

  • Shit stained trouser moment.

    LOL

  • Hi mate...what kite was this and what size was it? Also how much do you weigh? Im gna get a kite and just dont wanna die haha..... Cheers

  • Don't know what he was flying in that bit of film, but I would suggest you buy something smaller than 4m2 to start with.

A 3.5 m² is the ideal beginner size in my opinion: It's enough to get the adrenaline pumping, and it won't get you killed.

If you do decide you like kiting afterwards, you can move on to bigger stuff (+ 5, +6 m²) and you can hang on to the smaller 3.5 as your backup for very windy conditions...

  • Lmao

  • I was kiting on a frozen lake, and it was very windy. i got draged over the ice and had no chance of stopping. there was wated on top of the ice as well, i got soaked in icecold water in like 1 sec lol

  • what kite

  • HAHAA

    owned

  • Hah, dude, nice air.

  • What goes up, MUST come down!

    Top job!

  • get a kite bar, honestly thats the only way to go!

  • I bet thats so fun

  • hahhaha wtf

  • ouch the landing must of hurt. neat airtime though.

  • wtf

  • awesome jump!

  • This came out about the same time as the "Top hat" video

  • The guy is called Tim, and on the original footage it showed a glimps of a red Blade.I think the video has bin chopped down for u-tube. It was said to be a BladeII 9m (that was 3yrs ago I think)

  • I remember that day. Tim was flying well inland at the same time I was flying on the coast (it was major gusty on the beach).

Tim has excellent kite and buggy control but got lofted a few times there.

He only suffered a sore ankle with no breakages.

    Good on you Tim :-)

  • I remember it was also mentioned that he had a job staying on the ground with the brakes held full on too.

Does anyone have the original vid, or link ( not on you tube), showing the red Blade II 9m or was it the red 10.5m Blade III cant remember

  • Sure I have the longer version somewhere although it was always a little grainy. Will trawl thru asap

  • I've searched and it is the same vid at 27secs. Sorry.

  • Am I wrong but im sure the original was a bit longer and showed a bit of the kite at the top of the screen. Maybe the size was changed. Ahh well no probs, still a good classic vid.

  • I shot the video and still hold the origonal

  • nice jump, bet the landing hurt

  • looks fun

  • how big was da kite

  • special type of gust for that vert take off. nice control tho!

  • sweet!!!!

  • muppet, hahaha.. aint seen anything like that for ages

  • why he didn 't live the kite?????

  • bööö

  • God bless you!!

  • HOLY SHIT!! wow thats incredible. fuck kite control man, shit happens sometimes. musta been scary

  • lol i fly power kites but thats jst awsum X0D

  • Good job he didnt let go in that situation, he couldve landed on his bonce from that hight, broke his neck.

  • If that kite was a Blade... you need no skill to take off like that and it looked like he didn't want to take off. The Blades are so lifty, just takes a gust of wind with the kite at the zenith and you're gone... scary kites but great fun.

  • what a prat!

  • awsome!

  • getting lofted needs no kite control jus a lifty kite (blade, etc) and a big gust, if it was a pendulum jump and he went well high and came down softly then it would show control, not they way he came down

  • this guy has no idea how to control a kite!!he almost deserves to get hurt ;)

  • what you fuckin on about mate you don't get jumps like that without some good kite control PLUM

  • whatever man- for one thing he's flying near posts which no experienced flyer would do! It was a a great jump- doesn't mean he had control.Maybe he did, maybe he didn't! Pity you had to get so emotional about it...

  • sheeeeeeesh! what kite you got flying? eh?

  • thats cool/scary :D

  • wooow loooks fun in away

    wat kites that?

  • wow that must have been some kite! and ouch!

  • sick!

  • Jeeez! What kite is that?? was there a freak gust or what?

  • bloody hell nice one matey...who is this?? i like how it chucks him back down..goh..
