I agree that McKainnedy is not the right man for the job. But we'll be in a LOT DEEPER DO-DO if Obama is elected. All of the mess we see, high gas prices, out-of-control immigration, loss of US jobs, and a lot more are the direct result of Obama' party's positions on everything. The biggest problem with McKainnedy is he is too close to Obama on too many things!

Their are very few real conservatives left in the Republican party, so don't expect anything you are looking for to come from them. The GOP is dominated by corporate interests, look at all the corporate welfare: the bailouts of Indymac, Fanniemae, etc. That is not Laissez-faire free markets, and neither is subsidizing coal and nuclear power.

Obama has it right. Instead of making stupid moves like saying we should buy Brazilian ethanol instead of making our own, and proposing 300 million in no-strings-attached "prize money" to invent a battery that already exists, we need to do what Obama says.

Start building factories here and hiring people here to make turbines, solar panels, geoexchange pumps, hybrid/EV cars and batteries... and get good enough at it that we can export the products. We need exports, not fake gas tax relief.
