@OCDTech Make. Back up rom first just so you have a method of recovery, Now go to the market get titanium backup and either delete or freeze apps..I got rid of like 53 stock apps. I also recommend Setcpu and under clock your CPU when screens off, I use to charge my phone 3 times a day now I'm still at 30% by the end of the night with one full charge in the morning.Hope this helps..don't be afraid to pay with it just make sure you have a recovery.
@Elpinchedanny1 so my evo is rooted and when it comes to deleting stock apps like the stock messager and mail will its effect my handcent and gmail.... same for other stock apps that i have new apps that i use instead of the stock apps
OCD: Thanks for the screen shot of your EVO. the fact that it had been running for 14.5 hours on one charge using your recommendations is good to know.
It is obvious that doing what you do in combination with a second battery would put most power considerations to bed. I might have to run out and buy one.
thanks for your reply.. p.s. when I heard you on the video I thought you sounded familiar and then I saw that your from south fl... i'm from Miami but living in va beach for now... thanks again.
Hey, I just got an Evo and I'm learning about the whole android thing... what battery widget do you have? What apps do you recommend? Is advanced task killer good? I mostly hear good things about it, but I have also heard you don't need or it can mess up the phone... please help... Thanks :)
@Vmertilus the battery icon that you see in the top left is called "battery indicator pro", i used to use advanced task killer but since the EVO got the 2.2 (froyo) update then it no longer allows killing of apps via an app killer app like ATK so for now i use it but only once in a while and i dont leave it running all the time. i have a bunch of apps installed, some are essential and some are just for fun and stupitidy, i will direct message you the link since i cannot post here
@Fknstud I live in south Florida and sprint service is as good as Verizon/ATT or better. All carriers have bad coverage areas somewhere in the country so I suggest you try the service and phone where you live, work, etc for 30 days and of its not good then return it and sprint (i think) will return all your money and fees. Example, some people across the country have good t-mobile service but down here it blows.
wondering why you cut the end of the video off? Good vid, you would be supprised how many people don't know these simple tips and how to save battery.
@RennatWebs i was editing the video and making it into mutiple videos since youtube doesnt let me upload more than 10 minutes per video....the follow up videos are now up and on all resolutions.

Battery life isn't that much of a problem since it's so easy to just swap in a freshly charged one. iPhone 4's can't do that! LOL!

Where you located at? I heard sprint service sucks, but i really wanna get the Evo and lose the iphone!
