If I remember right, they made it very easy to get to Reptile and they added a "Red Ninja" to the game that you can find as well. This was according to a laminated template around the screen on the arcade I played it on back in 1993.

If you ever get the board working again, go looking for the elusive "Red Ninja"!

Red Ninja = Ermac. Ermac in MK1 doesn't exist. Wasn't on any arcade that I saw, in the game or the border around the screen. Oh, but I wish it existed so badly. BTW, Red Ninja sounds a lot cooler than Ermac.

I have this version also. I LOVE it! The easiest way to get to fight Reptile is to not use BLOCK on the first match you play against the computer when you boot up the machine... no Block, do Fatality, and voila... Reptile battle. You do not have to get Flawless. :) I hope this helps.
