I have uploaded to youtube several vids for creating TRUE INVOLUTE internal and external gears with backlash and even sprockets using Autocad. The vid of the GEAR Word Document has the formulas and the gear terms to help with your gear and sprocket designs.
Yes, one of the advantages with the lofted cut, is that you can use two different profiles to make a single cut. - which also is possible with the Boundary Cut.
nice work...but can someone explain why a loft with a guide curve was used. could it not have been done with 1 profile and 1 curve as a sweep?....i mean if you wanted to change the pitch or clearance or other detail, does it not mean you have to now edit both the profile sketches on the loft feature?...
ESO NO ES NORMALIZADO!!!

I would like to know the advantage of the loft cut.
Can you use a different sized profile on the other side and it will cut with a gradient from one profile to the other?

@silverscity
Thx.
Yes - it is possible to do this profile with a Swept Cut as well.
But one of the ideas behind this tutorial is just to show how to use the Lofted Cut and how it works. :)

@klunk4real Yes, and that's why you should've done an example where the advantages of loft cut are shown.
