  • Oh, I´ve got the VHS since it released in 1985, but it´s a few years ago when I had got my last VCR for playing the video. So today I´ve seen for my first time, that Martin is playing a Yamaha DX7 I, the same model I´m playing since 1991.

  • Crush The Movie??? I NEED THIS!! Siiick tune and album. This was always one of the strongest cuts on that album, along with 88 Seconds.

  • one of my fav OMD tunes from earlier days

  • You say "sub", I say SUB. Think about that now! ;o)

  • Crush is an awesome album.

  • @MaceMn ;

  • Thanks for putting good audio together with this video. I loved OMD in the 80s. All the pop bands were using synths, but none as intelligently as OMD. It's nice to know they've finally released a new album (in 2010), their first since 1996. My friends who loved them with me were all so beautiful in the 80s. OMD's songs could have been written about them. (Joan of Arc... "light bulb.")

  • was lucky to see them with Depeche Mode at 101

  • nice to hear this band had a US following, sounds about right about Andy McCluskey running out into the audience, his comeback gig in Liverpool, his dancing leaves alot to be desired :-O brill music of its time though.

  • Got to see OMD open for the Thompson Twins in Harrisonburd, VA 12/5/85. Amazing show! Close enough to read the back panel of Paul's Emulator II! Incredible band!

  • @McXip I saw them open for the Thompson Twins, too--in JAX, FL. -probably the same year. Couldn't remember if I saw them open for TT or Howard Jones. Thanks for mentioning it in your post...I'm getting old LOL!

  • My favourite OMD song.

  • Best song on this album for sure, and probably their last best really good song, as were some of the others on this album. "88 Seconds in Greenborough" and "La Femme Accident" Unfortunately went downhill from here. One of the greatests bands out of the 80's Top 5!

  • Quality.

  • cool track

  • I didn't have the chance to see them live:( but wore that crush tape out in the Walkman:)

  • OMD played 3 shows in the SF Bay Area back in the day. Opening for the Thompson Twins and then 2 headlining shows at the Warfield. Saw them all 3 times. This was the encore. Loved it!!

  • I saw OMD in Dallas Texas back in 1986. They were touring with the Thompson Twins as a front group. I rushed out to buy their Crush "cassette" and really enjoyed it too. So many great songs on this album, So in love, 88 seconds, Women III and more.

  • I saw them in 1986 in Portland on the same tour! At the time I didn't know who OMD was. Did Andy McCluskey jump off stage and go running through the audience in Dallas?

  • This song makes me pee in my pants! ...and I'm NOT complaining.

  • I saw these guys when they opened for Power Station. I had never even heard of OMD before then but they are awesome live!

  • same with me - at pine knob near detroit. they were great - one of the best live bands I saw back in the day

  • Awesome song. The album cover (front and back) for Crush is really cool too.

  • Great song, one of the best from CRUSH. So In Love and La Femme Accident are great too

  • omd forever....fan since but 20 years now.....

  • Just brilliant. My favourite OMD song. Thanks for uploading.

  • The trash is in the garbage can the mystery of wonderland !! epic lyrics Love this song played it over and over when I first got the album on vinyl OMD COOL

  • The best band in the world.... EVER.... and may they go on forever.... My heroes!! xx

  • I don't know...there was always something about this album (especially this song) that was so melancholy. Like the sound of a warped pyschic imprint of a forgotten song from the 1950's. I get a similar feeling from Donald Fagen's "Walk Between Raindrops".

  • I know what you mean. White picket fence, sipping martinis while lounged out on the front lawn. Cateye sunglasses and beehive hairdoos. I get the same impression when I listen to this song. Wish I could find this cd because I wore out my tape.

  • Amazon have it - get on there now!!!!! :-)

  • What an excellent song. I've always loved it. I actually have it on vinyl.

  • quality post, thank you, have loved OMD for 25 years, and never seen this video :)

  • Only 25!!!! ;-) I have loved these boys for THIRTY years!!! xx

  • cheer up mal

  • powerful memories of youth in the 80's. summer of 87. we literally wore this tape out.

  • I graduated in 87. It seemed to all take a turn after that. grunge came in, techno....wasnt the same as when we all rolled up our pantlegs tight and wore a bgroche on the buttonup shirt etc.

  • Great vid.

    Coxynuma.66.

  • High School Mt Eden Hayward CA, 1986.....Oh where did the good music turn to?

  • Something happened to my comment.... it disappeared!!!

I love this, it is sooooooooooo cheesy and 80s; but just OMD!!!

Cannot wait until October to see these gorgeous guys perform live on their 30th anniversary tour....

    And to think; I'm only 16!!! ;o) ;o)

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!! :o) :o)
