The name of the director is Jacques Tati. he plays in all his movies. If you like, you must see also
- Jour de fête (1948)
- Traffic
- Mon oncle
- Playtime
Always this tipical vision, no dialogues or few, images only speak. Very good cinema. The best for me. Simple and strong. les mises en scéne sont millimétrées.
@WaKaTamKa Mon Oncle is one of my favorite movies, Traffic also, did'nt really like Jour de fete when i saw it, thought it lacked the subtle vs grotesque that his later movies have. :)
GLORIOUS. the steam locos only make this better

The entire film was done with no dialogue, only background sounds, and the odd spoken word. Thats what makes it so brilliant.

I agree with everyone else. This is so funny and I love it so much. Do you know where this film came from?
Thanks for the posting.

@doyleaudio
as far as i know it´s from "les vacances de monsieur hulot".
but concerning the "audio aspect" in it, this is the only scene that is worth watching.
