There's no replacement for a true CLD... There's been real testing of "peel and seal" and a true CLD, and 25% CLD coverage dampens way better than 100% of peel and seal. For price is concerned, that means you buy a fourth of the damper, when you buy CLD.

Just letting u know that this product requires a primer and a roller to apply.....yes it stick quite well but 2 yrs from now its going to start peeling off. just FYI....cheers

im pretty sure dynamat is the same thing, the only difference is that dynamat is a specialized product so it will work slightly better, but for about half the price of dynamat why the hell wouldnt you get this? just expressing my opinion.

THat roll is not sound deadening nor will it work decent.

It's as flimsy as shit, a real deadener is not that flimsy at all.

It actually reinforces the panels instead of adding weight.

Good sound deadeners have the perfect aluminium/butyl combination.

This stuff even isn't butyl, a decent deadener deadens your roof with only 25-30% coverage.

Stuff like second skin or SDS. That is actually worth buying

What I did to my Porsche 993 911 GT2 is Dynamat the whole car where I can put it and it made a dramatic improvement. Afterwards I put ANOTHER LAYER of Dynamat on it in some places and Christ me fuckers there is no more road noise, wind buffeting and tyre roar, just a beautiful symphony from the exhaust and engine! I don't expect Rolls Royce standards of quietness but it is near there.

i also have a grand cherokee and i just put in 2 15" type r's... not i am getting a horrible rattle from the back lift gate... have you had the same problem?

@goudyx oh god yes! the stupid linkages for the wiper motor and the locks for the hatch vibrate so bad, and the only way to stop them is to cut apart the hatch and remove them, so iv learned to put up with them

@mrjamesb562 spot welds would have eventualy brokenfrom the sound pressure, I had to sound deaden the roof because not only did the cross brace rattle, the roof flexes way to much, when body pannels flex, you loose SPL, so I fixed two problems with one solution this time, oh and tj's rattle alot, wj's are quiet for the most part, not mine tho, I made sure of that haha

mmm i used quick roof.. from home depot.. 6" by 25 feet costed 16 buck. basically the same as this and peel and seel. i useddd like 75% of the roll on my trunk double layering. with some other stuff thats sort or rubbery. and it works well. considering it holding off 2 sundown sa 12s and a american bass 100.1. ( soon to be 3 12s. )
