hehe I had this kind of problem too...Now I use a true bypass pedalboard that controls channel switching and effects at the same time and it works very well. It has 5 effects loop and keep sound as the original...very cool!

I wish I had that setup for this show. I was using the Mesa stack behind me and my pedal board with some distortion and echo for solos, but I was having major problems with channel switching, so sometime my solos would still be in rhythm mode, meaning the eq was really scooped: A good sound for rhythm, but horrible for solos. Luckily with this song my channel switching worked!
