definately flip ultra HD, even though its a little expensive its reasonable for what you get if you get the 8 GB one you get 2 hours of recording i go with the ultra HD

Nice video but where you said was a charger slot is really a tripod mount. The batteries are charged by USB (with the power adapter or in a computer).

I just got a flip ultra HD.

I've never had the regular flip ultra, but with this HD, there are disadvantages to having this multitude of megapixels:

1. This HD uses a LOT of memory.

2. Because it uses a LOT of memory, the playback performance is less than desirable. In other words, during video playback, you get a lot of stop & go.

(unless you up-load the video to you tube.)

3. HD brings slow uploading & downloading because of massive memory usage.
