And is it still worth it if I drive mostly short distances? I was sad to hear you still have to run the car 10-15 mins on diesel!

i turn on my 300sd by flipping a on off switch, then i push a button and car starts

You're lucky. In New Zealand we have to pay for our wvo about $60 for a 200l barrell. And we still have to pay road tax
