@Loadfaster to my understanding it is suppose to be a spiritual cleanse, I tried it and when I got out of the water I felt refreshed. My aunt told me about running a bath and putting ammonia in it for someone you think that has a rouk on them (bad voodoo) and it is suppose to take it off when they bathe and when they let out the water it goes down the drain really slow at first and then it does like a really fast wooshing thing. its almost the same thing getting negativity off of you
