They would sometimes try out new material live.They really didnt even have a title for this song so they called it The New Song. I personally don't care what any of you think! I don't judge the band for growing up and evolving. Many great bands continue to release albums regardless of what people think. Successful or not, the band has earned the right to do what they want. Besides, many of the people who critique the new stuff, probably weren't old enough or alive to remember the early Metallica anyway. You most likely wouldn't have survived a Metallica show or a mosh pit.

27 years old and after reload i never got another one of Metallicas CDs. i feel they didnt not evolve. they Devolved. they became Generic mainstream garbage. Death Magnetic was ok. still not their best, to many reused riffs. most deff better than St. Anger though. i despise St. Anger. If Lulu is Lou Reed and Metallica than i don't see that album going very far. I can imagine modern Listeners won't enjoy it. id assume people in late 30s to early 40s will purchase Lulu.

@MrSosa15 if you put the good songs from load and re load in ONE album you have an AMAZING alternative metal album (just like sound of white noise or youthanasia), but the filler (and the artwork xd) really hurted those albums

If you were open minded enough you would see that load is an awsome album. Has more depth than most of there albums. Just because its not a metal album does'nt mean its shit. Bunch of knucle heads. they should have kept on moving forward rather than going backwards. thats why so many bands fade away. double guessing them self

Death Magnetic wasnt Metallicas best album actually it wasnt nearly as good as the 80s stuff but it was or is a fuckin good album and a great step for metallica into the right direction back to good old thrash metal

I can definitly understand how alot of fans would strongly disagree with me; He's good. Really good. But to me, he just isnt Old School Metallica-good.
