omg this is so lame. who the fuck cares if he's gonna play with his teeth or cock, solo as solo sounds like shit. best proof that is that dude beneath me who doesnt even know wtf is he playing. every1 can surf accross the scales >.>
Never seen the clips.. Brilliant !! Thanks for the video poster !! Just when you think you've learned SRV he busts out behind his head, his back, playing with his teeth and it's all flawless !!! I still stand by my conviction that he's the best guitarist.. Glad my pops got me into SRV at a young age !!
@mixwell1983 Haha yer, as much as I love Jimi, Stevie played the same style, just a thousand times cleaner and with less distortion and feedback! A true genius!
@verbw002 Ive gotta disagree sir... Hendrix was most definitely better than Clapton.. He asked to play with Clapton one night and literally forced Eric of the stage because he couldnt keep up with Jimi! Jimi and Stevie are equally as good without a doubt, and I wouldnt put it past either one of them (if they were alive) to pick which was best because they were such humble, and generous people that they would have rather jammed together than argued
@theganjaking56 I guess it's all opinion right? But since I posted that comment I've listened to a lot more of Jimi and now admit he's better that Clapton, he's also grown on me more as an artist.
@wamadeus ha ha... I was just about to ask who the hell pressed dislike!! Least it was a mistake.... there shouldn't even be a dislike button there...
cool video, but i'd have to say his best solos come from texas flood live at the el mocambo. i mean, he just rips the song to shreds during that performance, it's unbelievable
magnificent... have loved his music for decades as i have paganini beethoven bach ravel deep purple madonna arlynn gale vanessa mae and hundreds of others but none has both the natural talent, ability, diversity or consistency of the most valuable human born ... or ' god ' if you like.... jimmy page !
i really wish i was born earlier to see him.... or actually i wish he was still here.... even if he stoped playing guitar (but we both know he could never do that :)
@jduran9123 You Are Absolutely Correct!... I Was There That Night At The ElMacombo July, 11th 1983 Here In Toronto, Ontario. Canada... A Night I Have Not Forgotten And Hopefully Never Will.
I didn't start playing guitar until after I graduated college. I saw SRV at a spring weekend music festival that my college use to have every May. It is free to all students. State University of NY At New Paltz (90 miles north of NYC)-the year was 1983 (or 84?) SRV was becoming a well known guitarist back then and not everyone knew about him back then but he was considered a progressive guitarist in those days. My brother got me into his music in 82 so I was totally psyched when he played!
THE BEST EVER

I hate the camera angle for the Texas Flood solo in Tokyo (when he's wearing red). Makes me feel like I'm watching some terrible form of guitar porn.
