But it saved DC comics Superman and Batman when the backlash against comic books started after Frederick Wertham's screed The Seduction of Innocents.
One of DC's Publishers Henry Donnenfield already had a run in with censors before the advent ofcomic books with his series of Spicy titled pulps; Spicy Mystery, Spicy Horror, Spicy Westerns and Spicy adventures etc.
I like how slow and deliberate Batman did everything. And the nonchalant murder of the henchmen, fantastic. Batman rocks no matter what era he's in... Except the
60's, when he decided to start doing the "Bat-tusi". Actually that never existed, what am I thinkin'.
Another mistake, if you see 1:08 you notice the toy car used to the crash have not the hole on the top that Batman MADE as it should. I love Batman but even the most expensive and planified movies have mistakes.
@diddymuck FYI the radium gun was what serial scriptwriters called "the weenie" It was the object or an object that both the good guys and the bad guys wanted. Sometimes it was a lost treasure map that would take all 15 chapters to find. In this case, the radium gun was only used for a few chapters. As far as where do you keep a radium gun that big, you stick in your utility belt where you keep the rest of your cime fighting junk.
the original the started it all! Batman's debut to the big screen and mainstream popularity! You should download all the videos of this serial in chronological order!
So this is the earliest Batman film? Wow. I knew there were Batman comics back then. But I didn't even know about this until recently.

@MDthornton83 Batman's first comic appearance was in 1939, so he'd been around for about four years at this point.

1:21 : "Are you alright Bruce?" and Batman DID NOT punch him in the face!?
MasterMacLeod 6 months ago
The only thing that could make this better is if Batman was also wearing a fedora over the cowl.

2 mistakes:
1) Robin would never call him Bruce with his Batman suit.
2) Stupid thing: He mades a big hole in the car's top but finally gets in the car using the door. LOL.
Well I think this was the coolest in those good times.
patshirisji 3 years ago
2 mistakes that you made:
1) On number 2 you said "mades" instead of makes.
2) Batman used the door because he needed to get to the damn front seat
Gasboys101 2 years ago
Easy turboman, are you the son of the writer or what? Just a comment, and about mades, well you are not perfect either, are you?

SLIMIMPHAL 3 years ago
not his gun; belonged to a scientist who loaned it. The bad guy had one too, which is reason they needed radium.
