Seeing Chris kill switch made me remember a moronic story.
I made a kill switch out of a (2 position) tone switch a couple of years ago, worked awesome, years later I left the guitar at a store so they could put in a new pickup. When I go there to collect my guitar, the guy who did the wiring told me "Your tone switch wasn't working, so I exchanged it for a new one" and he tried to charge me for "fixing" my kill switch. I would have none of that, so I made him change it back, no extra charge.
@Aeoliandorian i remember my first joint ...ate a whole box of cheereos 1/2 gal milk got sick woke up to kiss alive....it had been playing 9hr. and it was 8 track.
It's not a regular thumb pick. He made a special clip that attaches to your thumb. you can slide your pick in and it stays put. Thumb picks stick out too much, are two round on the tip, and made of the wrong material for what I'm looking for. I've already tried carving down a few thumb picks with no success.
How about you? It's a shame people like Chris Broderick are willing to sell their soul to the devil just for money to deceive people out of their hard work.
At least Metallica isn't selling out as much as Megadeth. Metallica still sucks, but they're not the devils like most artists are.
It's a shame, people spend all their money to be their favorite idols, the people who they look up to, when in reality, these people are fucking scum. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris is a mason.
Yes, maybe you do need to listen to better bands and artists.
Dimrain47's Operation Evolution is a great song by the way, not a rock song, but I'm sure if it was translated into guitar, drums, and bass, it'd be cool.
If you're interested in washed out bands that lost their spark, that's alright! I mean, milked things are still be tasteful right?! Of course? I'm not sure, I wouldn't know what it's like to have a small attention span.
@TurkeyTuck You don't know what I listen to. I usually will just end up listening to 80s and early 90s Megadeth the most in their discography. There is not much that I like new now besides Down, Devil Driver, Lamb of God. Good bands are hard to find in modern times. You have to look past all of the bullshit bands like Asking Alexandria and attack attack.
Chris you rock dude. I have to say Megadeth is my Favorite Metal Band. You guy's really know your stuff and Mustaine is a genius in my opinion. I have the Jackson Pro RR24 and I love it.
The one you have looks sweet and sounds really great. Keep rocking dude !!!
@vintastic319 its not a thumb pick. Its a pick clip that allows you to use any pick you want, and holds it in any position you want, contrary to thumb picks which are mostly were long, fat, and just not right for the majority of playing styles. Hes shown in videos that its very easy to squeal with the clip, which is alot harder to do with a regular thumb pick. its quite innovative and its a recently patented design.
@Tarkess In 2008 he used a 7-string, you can search for the vids , the gig was in San Diego I believe. I think the 7th string allows him to do his two handed arpeggios
@MrWestdene1972 no, live he doesnt use the seven strings as far as i know (there's no need for the seventh string in megadeth anyways). he mainly uses it for his own practice sessions backstage or in his downtime when not on a tour
@MrWestdene1972 Chris told once in an interview that he doesnt actually uses his 7th string much on stage, but behind the stage he fuckin rapes it until it dies!
@MrWestdene1972 Yes, when he plays live with megadeth he uses the 7 string. But there aren't any megadeth songs that use the 7th string. He probably uses it for comfort or the sound.
@MrWestdene1972 wow I can't believe how many responses I got from this question.I meant studio not live. I finally found the spot where I think is the 7 string. At the beginning of the song "Never Dead" from about :35 to 1:00 there is a low chunky part underneath. It has to be either a 7 string or a 6 tuned down. This is the only place I know of.
@MrWestdene1972 not particularly no , on the big four tour he used his white signature guitar which only has 6 strings, this guitar here has seven whether its his preference is 7 on stage he uses 6
@MrWestdene1972 Mustaine didn't let him because Dave meant that there wasent "Megadeth" over a 7 string guitar. He thought it would make Megadeth to complex and not "Megadeth" :)
priced the 6 string at my regular dealer, $2500, but I hate the direction Jackson is going in with their headstocks, there was nothing cooler than the traditional Jackson headstock
@codo27 Are you fucking retarded? they've had that type of headstock for ages. and most of their guitars still have the traditional headstock. get your shit right :P
id happily have that as my signature but id only change one thing, a volume knob for both pickups. looks fucking great and has everything i look for in a guitar. whats the price on this badboy?

It's a shame this guy is selling out. I remember when he was representing AFFORDABLE guitars with somewhat decent quality and well known materials.
Now he's with Jackson, I mean Fagson.
Remember when he was with an actually talented group? Yeah, Nevermore. Now he's with Megadeth, which they themselves sold out.
Why hasn't anyone killed this man yet? I sincerely mean this. I couldn't be any more angry at the metal music industry. RIP 1980s-1990s.
