This is pretty bad and i don't mean any good maybe a 1 or 2 at the most out of ten, play the record and you will see how it is supposed to be played like with sonny rollins. I am not trying to be a jerk but you guys need work to do.
Hi - We are all pretty fond of Sonny Rollins and are very familiar with the original. We put ours at a faster tempo with more rapid silences on the head to emphasize the unusual melodic emphasis on silence in the 4th and 8th measures. In our arrangement, we wanted to radically bring out its playful qualities.
Jazz tunes are often played very differently by different groups. It's not like Classical music where interpretations are more strict to each other. It's arrangements, not sheet music.
