As Christians we should not insult those who judge our believes. Okay...you are ridiculous. Just because some Christians go by every word of the bible, doesn't mean that all Christians do. That's just called discriminating and as far as I'm concerned its no different then judging someone for their skin color, gender, sexual preference, etc. People are free to interpret the bible their own way. The ultimate song about salvation and grace. One of my favorites ever and the most beautiful version by Alan Jackson. I saw him in concert a few months ago. It was the best concert I have ever been to, bar none. Anyone who dislikes this needs lots of prayer.

Awesome! Love this song. It was sung at my Dad's funeral many years ago when I was just 7. We sang it at my Mom's funeral in 2006 and it is my request that it be sung at mine. Salvation story wrapped up in a song!

This was played at my mothers funeral, not through my choice but I can see why it was played. very deep song however all the bible bashing on these comments are out of order everyone is allowed THEIR OWN opinion on such songs. This is not a song I will pick for my own funeral or my fathers funeral and if I had my way music choices would have been something that people that never attended church knew.

"The law was given to reveal the sin" . (this is in the New Testament Romans 3:20)
More over there are so many people out there, who wouldn't believe in God just because of their pride. So breathe freely . You are saved........., or not? :)

As Christians we should not insult those who judge our believes. If anyone wishes to come after me", he said, "he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me" We judge theirs religions too and that not right either. Just explain your beliefs don't shove them down their throats. :) Many people think we are hypocrites because of out tactics of evangelism. Okay...you are ridiculous. Just because some Christians go by every word of the bible, doesn't mean that all Christians do. That's just called discriminating and as far as I'm concerned its no different then judging someone for their skin color, gender, sexual preference, etc. People are free to interpret the bible their own way. As far as i'm concerned, it's all true but it does not mean everything written in the bible constitutes a rule.

The bible was written in a different time period by a different culture. Yes, god was the main influence, but he didn't write it with his own hand. The only part he really "wrote" was the 10 commandments. Plus, the bible has been translated many times and words can be twisted. Don't dis someones faith just because you don't understand it. The fact that you have to come mock other peoples faith just proves that it makes you nervous.
