  • Can you grow vegetables year round in Peru?

  • Perù is a multicultural country, not all do that.

  • I remember when I was a kid in my neighborhood was an school and one time after school was over, I saw a teacher with lost of kids from that school, teacher was bringing "boxing gloves" and 2 kids kick the shit out each other. after the fight everyone when home and the kids were laughing that was in Peru. the best country in the whole world.

  • sign me up!

  • Who thinks the ''ladies fight was the best'' lol

    UK

  • jajaja cool very cool !! JODER K SI !! jajajajaja DURO CON ELLOS !

  • All I have to say to this is one word awsommmmmmmmmme.

  • MMM

  • well this sport or whetever celebration they do is a lot better than wearing a expensive suit, and planning what's the next war to fight or the next country to fuck with

  • this is more civalised than you fucking americans who watch jerry springer n shit

  • Peru, a happy place for Hooligans!

  • wow really? didn't know they liked to fight. why? because in the past week I challenged 3 peruvians at different times, one byhimself and two together. they puss1ed out.

  • @CallmeMrCat Peruvians dont like to fight against ghetto and uneducated motherfuckers.

  • @CallmeMrCat ah youre mental mate! nobody better mess with you!

  • Interesting XD and I'm a Peruvian living in ND :P I'm originally from Huancayo.

  • aww shiett . ima go to peru now .

  • perfect place for me

  • love dis guys haha always something unusual is there (Y)

  • some are drunk so is funny when they fight because beer and alcohol is free in that kind of festivals people get really mad them they love each other after fighting

  • I am of that ancient tradition which is from the time of the Incas in this way the young entrenabam their armies to not be afraid of wars.

in these fights now is to solve our problems again and again be as friends to the tradition is maintained with some variety is usually time-Chumbivilcas Christmas in Cuzco, Peru.

  • me gusta esta tradicion acestral el "takanacuy" de Chumbivilcas aunque nada tenga que ver algunas partes de este video con lo que es Chumbivilcas pero esoty aqui para decircelos que pertenesco a esta linda tradicion Peruana.

  • Peruvian ... JACKASS

  • I agree with @YoungDjNICEKEL. The traditional festival, known as Takanakuy or 'fighter', starts with dancing and religious processions. After the parade,in which citizens, including women, are allowed to brawl each other in order to get rid of stress.

  • Hitting somebody is far better than murdering them with a gun! Why are we westerners (americans in particular, not that I'm bashing) so afraid of physical violence these days, are we all 6 year old children or something? Seriously, most americans would rather take a bullet than a punch. Its weird.

  • Fuck yeah, these peruvians are actually pretty smart people. Its way better to get in the ring and throw hands with somebody and just blow of some steam. Some people have never been in a fight, and when they get angry with someone, they think they can just beat the shit out of the dude, when really, they have no idea how exhausting it is! Fighting can be a positive experience if you have an open mind, only total pussys are afraid of getting tagged.

  • hehe its like a real life peruvian version of mortal kombat =P

  • I dont know if this really happens in Peru but i must say Peru is one of the most beautifull countries in the world. Its traditions, cultures, history, people etc.

  • @upclinch lol 1st of all the ammount of theft in south america is huge fuck peru fuck all of south america ive lived in it and its a 3rd world shithole i lived in usa and europe and i gotta say south america is way behind by a long shot it sucks shit and tradition and culture and history is all in the past thats not what makes a country in todays world fuck that and theres nice and bad people everywhere so your statement is shit

  • @upclinch

Of course it happens in Peru, wtf are you implying? That Peruvians are so "different" from you and me that they don't succumb to the good old human trait of hating the guts of someone else? Such a racist assumption.

  • this is a misleaden report, they have images cut from very rare moment of descontrol. takanacuy is a competicion of two people to solve a problem or to impres a girl and is controlled by a group of persons and the police, were the others sits away around and area biger than a fotball field, also de fight stops after a cuple minutes or when somebody gets hurt. And nobody dies. also the takanakuy is very diferent of bolivian tinku so do not let them mislied you.

  • LOL WTF! I never heard of this festival I missed the chance While I still was on peru :(

    Psyce

  • @SparklingNeos Then you should go back to Peru brother. This costume is practiced in Cusco highlands like Chumbivilcas, Espinar and Canas. Also in Antabamba, province in Apurimac among other places. I will there next May 2011, maybe i'll see you there :)

I'm Peruvian living in CT, USA, my parents are from Cusco, therefore, I consider myself Inca son

    Take care

  • You are not Peruvian,RETARDED!

  • takanakuy festival!

  • Hey is better than using guns, shooting up school, holding their grudge and talking shit on the net jajaja aint that the truth.

  • where did I say this? the true meaning of chistmas is exching gifs?. I said we celebrate the nativities! and ofcourse we excahnge gifs too. retarded

  • This it is not in Cusco city! Cusco it is a departamento like a state! and the main city of cusco is's Cusco as well. now where people do this it is a very very small town called Chumbivilcas far faraway from cusco. I find silly how this retarded reporter just say whatever she wants. Ofcourse we in cusco celebrate the nativities of christmas with truly meaning and we exchanging gifs.

  • @Aromitadepasion You're right! these practices are taken in the higher lands of Cusco and not in Cusco city as the reporter said, reason why visitors miss the show alive he he. She just wasn't fully informed, that was all and we are here to clarify it. This is a very old costume where women show how physically prepared are they to work in the next year, same as men do. Prove of their strength are the Inca fortresses left spread all over the Peruvian territory.

    Greetings from CT-USA

  • That bare fisted knuckle fighting can knock out teeth, lose an eye, receive a broken jaw, suffer a concussion, a coma or death.

  • Oh My gosh: "Are those people black or asians? "

Where do you come from? Peruvians are neither blacks or asians, they are from Perù, Latin America.

  • Are those people black or asians?

  • x11115,

    You could look it up.

Type the word 'Peruvian' into Google and see if there's anything there.

    inca dinka doo

    Where is Peru?

  • I don't know what a Peruvian is(I'm guessing they're from Peru, but they look Mexican), but believe me they aren't black. We don't dance like that and then start fighting for no reason.

  • @JeReL19 Peruvians have that tradition in the province of Chumbivilcas-cuzco, peru also know us as the city's "boy mexico" but we do not like being told so in particular because we are Mexicans and Peruvians and not ours we have a culture that provide the American people.

  • "Are those people black or asians?" ( x11115 )

I can't believe that you actually had the lack of foresight to write this.

I don't want to sound like I'm tarring all with the same brush but are you American by any chance?

Didn't you feel that you may have been seen as being just a little insular?

Peru, BTW, is tacked onto the side of that little spit of land that dangles from the bottom of North America.

  • Are those people black or asia?

  • We have something here just as idiotic. It's called 'politics'.

  • Politicians are for law and order. These people here look like street thugs.

  • hah, i think its kind of good. for those who got balls to fist fight rather then always having they're mouths do the the work. And thats the difference between a politician and a soldier.

  • America needs to do that for christmas! ... Except with politicians!
