Not one of his better songs, but I love the video. This one has a great concept and the cinematographer did one hell of a job capturing the spirit of the actors. Very uplifting images, without being maudlin or saccharine sweet.

This is from Elton John's album 'The Big Picture'.
The Album was simply awesome! I mean...quite a few of the songs were huge hits (Something about the way you look tonight, Live like horses) and the rest...like this song...just...weren't so good, yet I'm sure that all of us throughly enjoyed this song.

There is alot of messages or meanings one can gather from this song. One can be much spiritual, taken the angels, and the 'recovering' etc.
I think sometimes we get lost in the world around us, be it sexuality, spirituality, our physical needs and wants to even materialism, and sometimes we need to find who we are individually again, and relax... and recover ourselves before we got corrupted. thats my take anyways.

Bland FM-friendly fodder . This is NOT the Elton who wrote "Indian Sunset" , "60 Years On", "Love Lies Bleeding" etc etc . I would like to hope that fans of his creative peak in the period 1970-76 would agree with me.

Right of reply guv : Im not in the least bit concerned how gay, straight,bisexual or transgendered the song is . I was merely giving my opinion on the MUSICAL content of the song and comparing it to his earlier body of work which in my humble opinion is vastly superior in quality and content.

I remember they're looking for a lot of secretaries with the keys of their boss (miss moneypennies), it was all about a bet & my friends in front of telly thought, I would go there dressing up like moneypenny to meet Pierce, hell ya, I was crazy, he kissed the last woman half cheek/half mouth! Why didn't I do it? It's a great memory, hilarious!
He had a cigar & was waving at us fans, he's still so gorgeous =l'oréal!

I was looking for this song for a longer time now. 1997, he sung it on a german tv-show "Wetten, dass..." and at this time I was soo in love with Pierce Brosnan who was on the same show (lol, I was so young;-)...)
but anyway, I went to see Pierce Brosnan and he was my first Hollywood-Star (I love James Bond 4ever), so when I was back home, I started to watch the tape of the show for hours, thought of Pierce and cried to this song, coz it was just beautiful.
Romantic, isn't it? :-)
