According to the book Tag Teams, Tom Renesto and Jody Hamilton were The Assassins. Tom died in 2000 at age 72. Jody was involved with the Power Plant which trained wrestlers for WCW.

He was big time under-rated on mic. People talk about how great Flair & Rock were, but if you see 1 promo by them, you've seen them all. 99% catch phrases. Jody hamilton never yelled or acted like an idiot. He'd calmly tell you what he was going to do and in the process scare the hell out of you through the tv screen. He, Ole Anderson & Jake Roberts were always my favorite promo guys.

I think she confused him with Tom Renesto Jr. I'm not sure if it was before or after Hamilton was in Georgia, but in 79 or 80 there was an angle in Mid South where in matches a 2nd Assassin would appear and they would do a switch. The fake Assassin was unmasked as Renesto Jr. He never actually wrestled as an Assassin. He was just used for the switches
