Dacution, I live a few blocks from this area, and I care. In fact, I grew up not far from there and still reside in the area. It's basically a snobbish value judgement from people who really don't know what a ghetto is, but want to move back down here to take advantage of the property value and gentrify it, sell it and then try to project the image that the downtown area is this flourishing, well-to-do place. If you think people care less, then why were they out voting?
